Since you asked I'll be happy to tell you more about him.

Spoiler: Treize Khushrenada

He is considered the primary antagonist in the series. A calm, calculating man, Treize is a complex individual, playing both the chivalrous, anachronistic knight and the ruthless tyrant. His skills as a master politician and manipulator are second to none. He is an expert strategist and tactician on and off the battlefield. In addition, Treize is a crack shot, a superb, Western-style fencer, and a mobile suit designer of great ability, having designed both the Epyon and the Tallgeese III. He is also an excellent mobile suit pilot, displaying his ability several times during the series. Treize has even fought a Gundam pilot to a standstill.

To better get a grasp on what he has accomplished he's pulled off a swift coup to topple the Alliance and bring most of Earth under his control. Treize continues to consolidate his hold on Earth. However, it is quickly demonstrated that he is not as powerful as he appears. Although he is the head of OZ, Treize is also an agent of the Romefeller Foundation and must answer to their equally power-hungry leader. It's from this point you begin to grasp his true character as he shows opposition to this, covers up various indiscretions, and even to his eventual step down as the leader of OZ. He continues to manipulate to the point he forms his own faction. As a result later on he frees the Queen of her duties as sovereign of the world and assumes the position of a chief representative. He then expertly rallies Romefeller and the rest of the world to gather arms and fight to defend the Earth from the White Fang, who, along with their new leader, have declared war against the Earth.

Hopefully from my previous description of his personality you can see how these events play to that. Anyway hope I'm not to late getting this to you.
