This is the Light Novel Club, a place where fans of novels come to discuss share and read novels together

    Time for Intros:

Hi I'm ThatRandomGinger and i don't read much however recently (within the last year) i discovered Light Novels, and can't stop reading them! Light Novels are Exactly that Light Novels around 200-300 page novels, and they often are the source works of manga and anime. Ironically enough though, i got into them by watching an anime and wanting more, so i went to the manga. When i found the manga was barely farther than the anime i became disappointed, but found another source these novels. And these helped fill the void of finishing an anime but not having anything to watch, so i kept with them until i ended up becoming a full blown Novel reader

Hello, I'd like to start off with: Thank You for the invite.
    I am known as PureEbil
As for myself, I may not act it or look it but I enjoy reading as much as watching anime and playing games. I, however, do not read that much because this world doesn't do a very good job of promoting and supporting reading. While most of the materials can be found online I find it distasteful reading from my computer screen(or any digital screen) 300 pages or more books. I prefer having a paperback copy in my hands to take where ever and enjoy the classical curl up with a good book by the metaphorical fire. Looks like I've started to ramble again back on subject... Light Novels I have not read many at all with actual anime involved. After being invited to this group I did take a moment to read the last few chapters of SAO and have to say if all anime Light Novels are like that I would love to get into them as well. So if Y'all have some good recommendations for anime light novels to read please don't hesitate to suggest them and/or where the best place to purchase a copy would be. Looking forward to those interactions

    Hi,
I'm Negi, I've always liked reading and I've been reading LNs for almost two years now.

I like about any kind of novels and I prefer to read a book over an e-book, so if you suggest me anything, it has to either be really good or licensed (or both, if possible).

@pureebil Your local bookstore might have some light novels (maybe not in store, but you can probably order them there).

Hello, I'm obdriver6. What can I say.... Well I've never read a light novel and only recently started reading manga. The reason I joined this groups is because I wanted to try something new and hopefully I can be an active member once I read my first LN.

Hi, Shadow Links here. Just recently started reading LN a few month ago when I started building a library in Calibre (Ebook program). I had finished watching Infinite Stratos and was curious about the original version to discover it was a LN not manga. Recently I've picked up SAO and Accel World. I would read paper books, but bookstores are too far away and the local library doesn't have a selection and I fill up with Star Wars books anyways.

PS Probably should sticky this thread and a few others.

Hi, I'm BaconMan8910. I honestly don't do much reading, videos/video games are actually my preferred medium of story-telling. I've read a few manga, the most recent being Fairy Tail. I'm sure I've read a few more light novels at some point but can't think of any at the moment. I'm not against reading, though, and am open to suggestions. :3

    Hey everyone,

I go by Isicore. I discovered light novels back when Aria the Scarlet Ammo came out with an anime. Wanting more than what few episodes had to offer and researching the internet, I discovered light novels. After finished all what Aria had to offer in its light novels version, I wasn't too long I grabbed anything I found interesting. Light novels become a temporary obsession. I go through phases of this between light novels, manga, anime, video games, American TV etc. When it comes to anime/manga/light novels I seem to either have too much of it or not enough time to get through everything that has piled. A little fun fact about myself, I am a quarter Japanese.

Hey, im Vishal, most of you might know me if not, then HIIII. I love reading and well i stumbled upon this club, and i wish i start immediately. I have have read small short novels before, not sure if it was part of "light novels". I usually read whatever i find interesting, no specific genre or type, i just like to read something that just takes me away. Anyways, that's about it.

    Humm...

I came to see how many members were also active members.

Probably not a good thing that the only active member left besides me states in his intro he doesn't read much.

@BaconMan8910 you gotta start reading if we want the club to survive (we do).

Hmm... I recently read a book on the First Barbary War and another on the policy of transportation in the American colonies, if that helps.

    I guess.

    Quick question from a Canadian:

What's the difference between the American colonies and the 13 colonies?

In United States history, we generally use the term American Colonies to refer to the British North American colonies, or the "thirteen colonies." This excludes the British and French colonies in Canada as the thirteen which would later become the United States developed separately from their northern neighbors. Although the term American Colonies can be used to refer to any European colonies in the Americas.
