Correction. WAS in the service. My service contract ended lat year. I've been an official veteran for a year. Since then I've become quite the sous chef in the real world. I was a CS in the Navy before I got out. About 6 months before I left, I made Petty Officer 3rd Class making me a CS3. The Navy still tries to get me to come back since I have 3 years to re-enlist before I have to go back to basic training. But I keep telling them that it isn't worth it unless they submit to my demands for a re-enlistment bonus. They always hang up angrily once I tell them what my bonus would have to be to re-enlist.

Almost enlisted myself when I got out of High School. Was really into airplanes and would have liked to be a pilot. What a change in direction that would have been in my life. I have no regrets though, would have been very different though that's for sure![/spoiler]

 

Enlistment wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I should have went to the academy and become an officer. They are the one's who have it made.
