Westboro Baptist Church protests Orlando victims' funerals

I swear that these people give me a new type of disease whenever they make the headlines. It seems like their only reason for existing is to piss people off

 

They've actually been listed as a known hate-group (Extremists) on the Southern Poverty Law Center database. The website states "Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is arguably the most obnoxious and rabid hate group in America."

You'd think they were trying to compete with the KKK in their level of hatred. Because of their obsessive, obnoxious, and rabid hatred, WBC cannot claim to be Christian anymore. Their protests are the very definition of blasphemy when they use the words "God Hates Fags," because any true Christian will know that speaking on behalf of God is blasphemy just on it's own. Then to preach falsely is yet another taboo mentioned in the Bible. They will get what they deserve when they meet God on Judgement Day.

 

This is cruel.
My original church did not tolerate homosexuality much, in fact, they were strongly against it. The preacher preached messages and even said that people would consider what he said hate speech. But they also went by the saying "Love the sinner, hate the sin."
I don't think that the church I went to would have denied a funeral from a homosexual who was family to someone in that church, or if that was a special church to them. At least out of pity for the person, and the person's relatives. How can a church be righteous if it hates people because of a certain sin? And how can they be right if can't even respect a dead sinner?
They give churches with high and strict morals a bad name.

This is from when I take on a moral church viewpoint on a subject.

 

The people at Westboro Baptist can not call in good conscience themselves Christians!!! And I am a devout Catholic whose beliefs are similar to Core's pastor. I do not believe that same-sex unions are moral, but would NEVER insult or revile anyone who is LGBT, I love them and pray for them even though I do not support their lifestyle. We are all Children of God so I have NO RIGHT to insult anyone because I myself am so utterly imperfect.

 

Now I really don't get this group
A radical "Christain" hate group who siding with the Islamic terrorists on this one?
There's already the cruelty involved just to protest it, but I'm looking at the pure irony that they are protesting something that was caused by something else I assumed would be even more hated.

That's like the KKK joining in protest with the Black Panthers in some white cop death or something.

I just can't keep up with this stuff anymore, my head hurts.

 

That's what I thought too. I think that nowadays they're doing it simply for publicity and to annoy people. I started a topic on the old forums about the WBC about how this is what they do to win:

1. Have the entire family major in law
2. Protest funerals and annoy the hell out of mourners
3. Have mourners attack them
4. Sue mourners
5. Win case even though everyone hates them
6. Profit

Repeat this process
