    We wanted to ask the public this time around about additions to the yearly site awards. What new awards do you want to see added?

    If you have any suggestions for new awards or anything extra we should do feel free to comment.

    Here are the fields we are currently recognizing. If you can think of anything good that is not on this list please let us know!

    Best Mentor
    Best Technical Poster
    Best Artistic Designer
    Best AMV Maker
    Best Debater
    Most Helpful Staff Member
    Best Hall of Elders Poster
    Most Helpful Anime Advisor
    Friendliest Member
    Funniest Member
    Member of the Year
    Favorite Staff Member
    Best Reviewer
    Best Creative Writer
    Best Contributor
    Biggest Spammer

    We will begin voting in the 2016 site awards in a few days. And we'll be announcing site award winner in late April. We'll be nominating people in different fields selected and award members and staff alike for extraordinary contributions to the community.

    We will be doing the awards like we did on JD.net. We will make a thread detailing which areas we are giving awards for and then members, and staff, will send their nominations for each category to the JDAdmin account. That way if there is an issue with votes (and accusations are thrown around like previous years) they can be publicly accessed by other admins and verified. Each nomination will be considered as a vote in that category. At the end we will tally up the nominations and award for bronze, silver and gold and give a nod to the 4th place honorable mentions.

    strips shows, because your strips shows are in strips? ... totally derailing this topic train.

    I think we should drop the "Staff" part in "Most Helpful Staff Member" and just leave it up to a competition of all members regardless if they hold a staff position or not.
    Change "Favorite Staff Member" to "Staff of the Year" and let's add another one in there for the Most Honorable Mentions for the member (including staff) who always came in 4th the most in the other awards.

    Thank you for the thought, but I have no Skype account.
    I heard sending messages of text via Skype were free, but I do not think the anything audio is. Besides, I have no microphone for that, not one of any respectable quality, anyway.

    I will keep it in mind, though.
