Current and Upcoming AVI/Sig Themes

Club announcement

Well it's a new year and it's time to rev this club back into full swing. Things have been getting to lax here, and that includes me. I'm expecting all current members to participate in next week's Casino theme and/or post here. Failure to do so will result in being booted out (not permanently of course). I'm not tagging members because I want to see who's still active. With the serious news out of the way, I've updated the calendar on the first post in this thread with new themes. As always, recommendations are welcome and encouraged. Please don't fret if a theme suggestion is not added right away as I try to place them in weeks that it would make the most sense whenever possible (I.E. swimsuits in summer).

 

Semester starts today, so I don't think I'll make a signature in a while, I have a few ideas though.

 

I'll try for a casino thing, but my main laptop is dead atm, and it's the only one with photoshop on it. I'm hoping for repair this weekend.

Currently in the process of Casino avi. Found what I want, but haven't made it yet 'cause heatwave a bitch.

 

Members that did not participate in the Casino theme or did not post here/to me have been removed from the club. Anyone who was removed is free to join again as long as they plan to participate semi-regularly.
Now, time for everyone to get their Traditional Japanese clothing on!

 

Sorry for the lack of activity re: this... My default mood lately is "tired", and kay and I just had our deferred exams. Was planning with the Casino theme to shop Hanekawa in this pic to be playing cards or something.


Anyaway, current theme = Love letter... Couldn't find any letters, but this is essentially the same.

 

Announcement

Potential club closure. After some though, I'm strongly considering closing this club due to lack of interest by the members. I tried to bring new energy with the new year but that didn't seem the help. I even left a few weeks open hoping others would bring it up and offer ideas to fill in those blank weeks. I really don't want to do this since this club has been around since the JDR thread RED ran. I would be more than happy to modify the club's activities to be biweekly or even monthly if members are willing to actively participate. This club is not very demanding, so it surprises me the number of people who want to be a part, but don't want to do anything. I will call out to @Mafiacow since he's been an awesome member and I wish more follow his example. I want this club to be fun; if it's not fun, there's no point.

 

Okay, so aside from my general business coupled with lack of energy, there've been two things for me that stand out as influencing participating in themes.
1. The frequency does seem to be a bit much for me these days. Like, feels like I've only just put up one avi when it's already time for another. I'd be up for fortnightly themes.
2. Other people posting. I find it much easier to keep up with themes when I see people not just changing to match the theme, but actually posting in here with what they've changed to, and even possibly discussing each other's avis. It just a more social and enjoyable thing to do that takes only a little more effort than changing avi anyway.
