I am thankful for the way you direct this site. The events you organize are interesting. I only wish that I could have taken part in some of these events sooner, or were able too. I am glad that you have helped me out by fixing links and answering questions.

Your postings on the older video games bring me a feeling of nostalgia. I am thankful that I know someone else here who has an interest in those games.

To everyone else-
I have not had much interaction with everyone else, though I do hope to meet more of you. I am thankful that you are here. Also, I may have forgotten to include some people in this posting. I tried to remember as many as I could.

To the staff-
I am thankful for all of your support to the site to provide a growing selection of videos, good video quality, and simple downloads. JDO benefits from all of your efforts.

I would have posted this sooner, but for some reason I did not understand the simple instructions. Must have been a long, tired day for me when I read this thread several times.

 

I guess I haven't been here long enough to have an actual thank you. However, I will say this... I'm thankful to have the opportunity to interact with other members as well as talk about Anime without becoming annoying (Well I hope not)

 

I am thankful for my family, the PlayStation 4, and this site here. Don't know what I'd do without you guys.

 

I am thankful for my mother giving birth to me, I'm such an amazing kid.

Anyway.

I am thankful for @Miss Elegent Serenity & @MateusseDarkslight for plenty of reasons each of them have been with me even when I couldn't see the bright light at the end of the tunnel, They've been with me since before the first shut down of the OG JD and we've been around each other a lot especially when it counted. Such as when MES was all alone for Black Friday and (or Christmas) and she had to work security. She was under distress because of personal reasons and I stayed awake with her all night to make sure she wasn't alone. Mate was with us and we had pleasant conversations until we all had to head off to sleep.

I would also like to mention the shenanigans we pulled in the old old old RPS. When it was Enigma, MES, and I. Those were some funny and yet great times.

I would also like to thank @Sporadic for telling me the whole hearted truth, regardless if it hurt. He knew I was heading down a dark path when he told he said "I was blinded by a honey pot." But I knew his intentions were pure. Emotions had the best of me, like many great men, we talked it out over when the time felt right. Regardless of how I felt at the moment he helped gain the courage to move on. Just as I helped him persevere through doubt. Whenever he needed someone to vent to I would always hear him out, and we would give each other feedback and explain our perspectives.

Even though we may not always see eye to eye like everyone, I consider you and MES family. You treat her right and her children right, as long as she is happy I am happy.

@MateusseDarkslight I didn't forget you, you're not getting a brief message. I remember when I got everyone into ToS. It was a blast. The RP chat was going wild and you and I Have become close friends over time. Like previously stated you've been around to talk to me and help me figure out where to go next, you were a source of inspiration, courage, and strength. You aspire to be as gentlemanly as possible and you succeed at it. At least when it comes to conversing with me. Though when you're tired. You're brief. Understandable. Secondly , you and I can exchange ideas, no matter how radical or tame. And we build off of each other to make something great

Though my time has been drastically cut short for RPing. I still make an effort to keep the stories going when I can. Life has slowed me down and I apologize.

@Dungeon Master Mmmmmmm oh yeah, You like that? I remember when we first started talking, we tried to make everyone believe we were romantically involved. It was probably one of the funnier things we have done together. Of course aside from some of our late night conversations or when we played CaH. You've been through a lot of tradgedy recently and I still want you to know if you need anyone I'm here for you.

@Rouge_assassin One of the most underrated and articulate RPers. Has an interesting mind and can sometimes be puzzling, on the silent side but also a great person. As you said to me once "You were an unsuspected friend. Thank you." A great bond was formed between us whether you were lonely, or dealing with something serious. I was there to keep you calm and just talk about day to day things to keep your mind off of stuff. Everyone needs a friend and I am glad I was capable of being yours.

I am thankful for being friends with Enigma when I did, Though he is rough around the edges he taught me a lot about the craft of role playing. Although he was very hard headed and extremely hard to compromise with. I talked to him frequently on skype, Also played a lot of mine craft with him then some league. I don't really know what happened to him, he fell off the face of the earth or something, I miss him but it is the end of an era. And we all must move on.

If you weren't mentioned. I apologize, there is only so much I can fit inside of this, and I don't to take up an entire page or sentimental stuff.

 

I would like to thank Bethesda for releasing Fallout 4. But seriously, I can't stop playing it, somebody please send help.

Okay, where should I start? I guess I'll get the usual stuff out of the way first. I'm thankful for my family and even though not all of us see eye-to-eye, I'm still glad to be a part of it. I'm thankful for my friends, because even with all of my weird little quirks and vices they just accept me for who I am without batting an eye. I'm also thankful for the life I've been blessed with as I fully realize that most people in the world are not nearly as fortunate as I am. And of course I'm thankful for my fellow roleplayers and our home at JDO; may its reign as best site on the internet endure until the end of time!

Now let's get on to some of the more personal, ooey-gooey feelgoods.

@Miss Elegent Serenity It's pretty safe to say that if it wasn't for you starting the RP Club, I never would've discovered how much I love roleplaying. To be honest, I didn't even want anything to do with it until Heizen talked me into trying it way back in the TBRP days. Because of that website, I found a hobby that I've become more passionate about than I ever imagined. Thank you for being a great president and a great friend. I always enjoy our talks on Skype as much as your posts on JDO.

@JenovaCell Ahh yes, out of all the plotlines we've come up with, I have to say that our JenovaxDungeon shipping still holds a special place in my heart. Seriously though, brainstorming RP ideas with you over Skype has definitely been a huge motivator for me to step up my game and build up my creativity. Our random talks are a lot of fun too, especially when we start dragging other people into it. And like I said before, don't worry about rushing to reply on the RP threads, just make sure you do it right when you do.

@MateusseDarkslight NOTICE ME, SENPAI! Sorry, let me try that again. I just wanted to say thanks for really putting in the time and coming up with all the best plots and ideas in the RP club. You're always willing to do crazy stuff like creating an absurd amount of characters if it means keeping the plot chugging along like a well-oiled machine, and I really do appreciate it, as I'm sure a lot of the other RPers do. Keep on lighting up the night sky, you magnificent creature.

@Heizengard Yes, I'm still thankful to have you as a friend...even though you continue to berate me for my love of ponies. See, I can look past things like that because our friendship is magic.

On a related note to the above, thanks to @The_Lullabye for being the first (and only, actually) to officially me into the herd. Soon, the non-believers will understand. Harmony will reign supreme.

To close things up, I'm going to get a little personal here. Most of my fellow roleplayers know that this year has been a pretty rough one for me. So I'd like to give my most sincere thanks to everyone who reached out and supported me when I needed it most. Even if you just sent a short message, even if you said something as simple as "I'm sorry", it meant a lot to me. Every little bit helped push me just a little farther through what was without a doubt the darkest time of my life. Thank you. Really, thank you.

Also, I'd like to say one more thing but I'll keep it short and sweet 'cause I know a lot of people aren't into church talk. Actually, I'm going to borrow a phrase from a certain video game journalist and just say this.

Thank God for me.

I suppose as I have been tagged by three people now it would be a discourtesy not to issue forth my own contribution. As such, I shall deign to rise from the mire I usually dwell within to take a gander at what I am thankful for.

Initially, it must be said that the community I have been slowly infiltrating for a while is almost unanimously filled with more than decent people. It sincerely has been a real pleasure rolling with you all down the merry hill of RPing-while-real-life-batters-down-the-door-with-a-hatchet these last few years. You have all earned that little place in my heart that I keep for the people who don’t get eaten when the full moon rises.

In terms of more relative issues, I am thankful for my good health. I am thankful for my talent for RPing and the English language in general which has netted me a Master’s Degree when I shouldn’t even be on the course, I am thankful for the people around me, family and friends alike who have supported me and kept me afloat in situations that even for my boundless demeanour proved somewhat daunting, and most of all I am thankful for my incredibly large d-

Butting heads is one way to describe how things have gone between us. We’ve had laughs, issues, difficulties, good times and bad times, and although I can’t exactly say I’m pleased with the outcome, I can say I’m content to thank you for what you have done for the RP Club and for me personally when I’ve needed someone to talk to. I wish you and @Sporadic the best of luck and success, and when that little baby boy emerges into the world, it is your solemn duty to name him Garen, the Might of Pennysylvania. (Seriously. I’m not joking. NAME THE BOY GAREN.)

We have also had tumbles – well, friends always do have less-than-stellar moments – but on the whole, I am thankful for you being my friend. I’m glad you got me into RPing and into this community, so I suppose I owe you everything that I’ve accomplished since then. Even in real life, you’ve always been a source of support and counselling when I’ve needed it most, and I can’t say I’ve ever found someone more reluctantly dependable. Soon, and I hope this is soon, you will learn to love my fanfictions, and will not leave the chat EVERY TIME I TYPE ONE. (Though I am considering marketing them as dwarf repellent.)

I'm thankful that my wife has (hopefully) had all the surgeries she needs and that I was able to get a bigger house for my family!

I'm also thankful that I found this community this year. You guys are seriously top notch!

I'm thankful to be gainfully employed with a well paying job so I can support my family.

Finally, I'm thankful for beer, cigarettes & progressive metal

 

I'm thankful for everyone and everything about this site.

It's the lazy route I know, but let me finish.

This site gave me a home when I felt lonely. It helped me get through the shitstorm that was my middle school years, and taught me how to grow up through my highschool years, as well as [re]introducing me to anime.

I was a lost cause as a kid. I had anger issues, almost no friends, and I didn't trust anyone.

Since I came here, I've been able to re-invent myself and learn how to be social. I'm not going to say this was the only reason my life is the way it is, but it's certainly a factor.

I owe this site a great deal, which is why I plan to stick around for as long as I can, and help out however I can [Even if it's as simple as reading all the posts or updating a few trophies].

So thanks guys; from the bottom of my heart. Let's let this site live forever so people like me can have a home on the internet.
