Penelope stares suspiciously at the man who'd just unlocked her cage. He had gray eyes and black hair, Penelope instantly knew the man was strong just by his looks. She instantly decided she couldn't trust this man even though he set her free, he could at any moment attack her. This man couldn't be the only source of voices though.... Penelope peered into the room just before the one her cell was in, seeing a small group of people who were talking among themselves. Penelope eyed the group wondering if she could trust them or not, there was one thing she knew for a fact, they didn't belong here. The group had kindness in their eyes, no one sent here is kind. Penelope also noticed how strong the group looked, the had to be here for a reason. The thoughts in her head were so fast she didn't even realize how intensely she was staring at them, her thoughts then came to her sword. Penelope looked back to the gray-eyed man and poked him in the shoulder to get his attention. But to her own frustration the man didn't understand her.

Tyrcestus raised an eyebrow at Mordred, but nodded and let them go.
“Glum chap,” Savvie remarked. “Mind you, I don’t blame him.”

Brisk merely chuckled to himself as he watched Mordred walk away, returning to stringing his bow.
Hailbird marched up to Arisa and Vixie, and kissed Arisa's hand by way of greeting. “Another swordswoman! I am most fortuitous to travel with such skilled company! Tell me, what convinced such a fair damsel to take up a blade?”

Stake and people didn’t really blend well, so he moved to the side of the group where pirates poked and prodded and asked questions, and he didn’t mind and responded in turn.

A deep red blush settled over the boy’s face as he took the hat – and then he grinned cheekily at Leon. “One day, I’m going to be YOUR captain!” The next thing Leon knew the boy had scrambled up Leon’s body and was sitting astride his shoulders. “And don’t you forget it!” He had the hat cocked over one eye. “Captain Jeru, of the Heaven Buster! Sounds good to me!”

OOT: Leaving a space for Rouge to reply.

"Yeah he may not seem fierce, but he does have a good head for getting around things so there's that. Plus he has a lot more control than us."

Sean remembered what had happened at that tavern not too long ago and played it in his head. it's probably best to not tell of that to Briarle.

'I still have things to learn and master." Sean said as he smiled.
As they got into a better lit area, they found some more prison cells. some where moonlit while others weren't.
To Sean they looked like cages. and with that thought he heard a whimper coming from one of the more darker cells. As he got to the cell, he saw a frail girl who was sitting on the floor. she was in shackles and also had a heavy looking collar around her neck.

"So,why are you in a place like this?" Sean asked as he looked all around. He didn't actually think that this place would even have prison cells.

'Or more importantly, what have you done to be put in a place like this? A prison meant for demons...."

That was something that was bothering him. If this whole place was a prison for demons that even demon kind don't want to deal with, then what are these people doing locked up in cages?

Her head snapped up as the man spoke. He was just outside the bars, the nearness of his voice had surprised her. Unbidden, she felt her lips part, baring her teeth. A low growl came from deep within her throat as she glared up at him. The hostility boiled up on reflex. The visitors to her cell were always cruel. It was their nature... and it was her punishment. The sins of hers, clamoring inside her skull waiting for her to close her eyes.
Standing took effort, almost more effort than her famished body could handle. She regarded him coldly, and the group clustered behind him, in silence. To assault a place such as this...
    "Insanity," she breathed with incredulity.
Locking her gaze on the man's eyes, she took a step forward into the moonlight. Her body convulsed as the pounding melody burned through her. Eyes screwed shut, she forced the agony down and advanced. She stopped just before her breasts pressed against the bars. Her eyes flashed in the flickering torch light; one eye glowed golden while the other was a dully reflective lavender. Her hair, and overall appearance, had a feral quality. The word that came to mind was, long in the tooth, despite her seeming youthful appearance.

"You want to know..." she spoke quietly, her voice hoarse. "Of course, if I tell you. It could send you insane. I know it did to me."
She gave a short bark of a laugh, the corners of her mouth twisting to reveal sharp incisors. Turning sidelong to Sean fluttered the moth-eaten blanket that covered her body. Pale skin glowed just long enough to reveal the edges of an ugly looking scar.

OOT: Sorry I haven't been replying much the last few days. I got my hands on Fallout 4, so...yeah. :D

Mordred briefly watched the girl with a look of curiosity as she gave him a look of suspicion in return. "Her instincts are quite keen if she mistrusts me from such a quick glance." Keeping this thought to himself, he took a few steps away from the cell and looked out at the rest of the group as they entered the chamber. Sean wasted no time in freeing the next prisoner, so Mordred left the matter in what he could only assume were capable hands. As he was looking around, he noticed the girl prodding at his shoulder and looked back at her, waiting for her to speak up. But as the seconds slowly passed by, she never said a word. He decided to take a more direct approach.
"What do you need? If you are looking for food or water, you should speak to the others. It seems that you've noticed them already; they would be willing share their supplies and we have a healer in our group if you are injured in any way."
Hoping that this would be enough to calm her nerves, he waited for a response.

"Aah, the Heaven Buster! Now that's a name that'll strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. I like it!"
I laugh loudly while striking a heroic pose with Jeru perched on my shoulder. I'll bet we look like quite the team right now! With a wry smile, I turn my head towards him.
"But if you want to become MY captain, you'll have to put in some serious work! This captain won't pledge his loyalty to just anyone, you know. Once you get a little older, a little wiser and a little more sword practice in, maybe then we'll see just who exactly is the best pirate to ever sail the seas! What do you say?"

Sean saw how frail she seemed. he guessed that she's been here for some time, but when she came up to the bars, he could tell that she wasn't a regular human. He noticed a certain feral likeness to her as well as her eyes. He briefly saw her scar chuckled as he heard her. He decided to cut the lock with his electrified dagger to set her free.

"Heh, I think I can handle it. What I've been thru in my life and faced on a regular basis would make any normal being rather insane." Then he remembered Where he was and what he was doing there.
"but then again, what sane person comes down to a place like this? A place that imprisons the demons that not even hell could contain."

Sean took the lock off the cage but kept the door closed, he wanted to hear her story first.
"I've already decided to free you, but I want to hear your story first. I need to know if I can really trust you or not since to me you look like a werewolf. I'm not really holding it against you but I've ran into some really feral werewolf in my travels and training. To be honest you seem like you've suffered enough for whatever you've done in my eyes."

He watched her very closely to see how she'd react to what he said. even if she didn't tell him everything, he could tell just by her appearance. What he said was true, but he's also met werewolf that looked feral but where able to control themselves and only lashed out when they sensed danger.Another good reason to free her.

Zerron started to pick up the same feeling that Sean was getting from this place. The question of why so many... plain looking people... where locked up on the second level of this place?

"so Briarle, how'd you guys end up in a place like this? I didn't really expect to see a group like yours to be locked up..." he looked around at all of the empty cages and couldn't help but think what or who would need all of these cages and cells.

*Or to see actual cages here. I'm sorry for asking a lot of questions but this place doesn't make sense and also wondering how Leon got himeslf in a cage hanging from the ceiling."

Penelope stared down the man who'd just spoken to her. She frowned at him without knowing how to converse without the ability to speak. Penelope motioned at her throat pointing at it then at her mouth then shook her head. She hoped he would be able to understand what she had meant.

Jeru’s eyes went wide – before he smirked confidently giggling, like the child he was. “Don’t gimme that! I’ll have you swabbing the foscle by the time I’m fifteen you... you...”
Luceforvis called over. “Bilge-rat’s always a good default. And you don’t swab the foscle.”
“Right! I’ll have you running the mainyard to the foscle by the time I’m fifteen, you bilge-rat!” Luceforvis chuckled, as Jeru held himself proudly atop Leon’s shoulders. “Just you wait! I’ll have my own crew, my own fleet, my own country – Jeruland, obviously – and all the women and riches I can want!”
Luceforvis went bright red, and hushed him quickly.
    “Don’t let Savvie hear you! He’ll –“

“JERU!!” Savvie’s voice thundered and Jeru clutched onto Leon’s head for support. “Sorry!” he shouted back, as though a child caught bouncing on the bed when he’d been told not to. “I meant it in the nice way!”
Savvie’s grumblings were audible even across the group and Luceforvis scowled at Jeru. “I’m getting yelled at for that later...”

Briarle blushed. “Well, we’re actually here on a rescue mission, kinda like yourselves. We’re here to rescue someone below us in the prison.” She clasped her hands together, looking worried. “I just hope they’re still alright... they’re strong but not as strong as some of us.” She looked up at the darkness ahead before they opened into the next cell block. Upon seeing the two prisoners concealed there, she gasped. “Oh no...”

Luceforvis chipped in to answer Zerron’s second query, as Savvie and Tyrcestus moved to the cages to meet the prisoners. Savvie examined the feral one, while Tyrcestus approached the mute one with an outstretched hand of friendship.
“This place is both a prison for the world’s worst monsters and the world’s most terrifying killers – ones that no-one wants to see again. Some imprisoned without trial, likely innocent buggers – others unrepentant psychopathic monsters. Either way, you can bet your last doubloon anyone down here’s likely to kick your arse if you give them half a second.”

Savvie stood next to Sean looking at the girl he was freeing.
“Alright, lass. Simple deal here.” He lowered himself down so he and the girl were eye-to-eye. “We let you out of there, you get food, water, healing, people to watch your back. You show any signs of turning yer coat, last thing you ever do. Got that?”

Tyrcestus stood next to Mordred, looking at Penelope. “Listen,” he said softly. “You’re safe with us. I promise.” His voice radiated calm and warmth, reassurance and reliability. He offered his hand. “I’m Tyrcestus, this is Mordred. I get you might not trust us at the moment... but sadly, right now you don’t have a choice.”

Arisa blinked, surprised by Hailbird's gesture. "Umm..." she looked away, "I don't think you want to look under that rock." She replied in a low tone.

Vixie watched the others through her flame colored eyes, as her ears carefully listened for any danger nearby. She folded her arms, the flame on the tip of her tail waving left and right as she stood there.

Arisa giggled quietly at the goings-on between Leon and Jeru. She had slipped her shield onto her back...she found it a little easier to carry this way. She looked around the room, at each of the cells. "How many innocent people are stuck here...fighting for every little thing down here..." her voice trailed off. "Even the rats down here, are terrified." She turned and looked at Vixie. "What do you know of this place, Vixie?" She asked.

Vixie blinked and looked at Arisa. "Not much, I'm afraid." She replied. "When the elves took me, they only wanted me for one thing...it seems they don't think they need me yet..." her voice got quiet, as it seemed her flame colored eyes stared off into the distance.

"Werewolves..." she spoke the word just above a whisper. A look of regret followed by rage and a rather deranged form of pure joy rushed across her face in an instant. Her face set with the blood chilling grin, the tips of her pointed teeth just visible between her lips. Her eyes stayed dull and uninterested tinged slightly by sadness.
"I wonder how many are left," she put a hand to her chin and lifting up the makeshift cloak from her body. She was fully naked underneath the molded bed sheet. More of the crescent shaped scar was revealed on her stomach, appearing to either be a moon or the blade of a sickle. A second crescent shape was repeated on the other side, in a pale crimson.
"I suppose I haven't finished the job yet."

"Suffering..." she spoke with a slightly different tone. "Oh it was terrible!"
Her eyes welled up with tears and the feral rage vanished to be replaced by the gentle look in her eyes that seemed to brighten the purple in her left eye. She tossed herself into the now opened cell door which quickly swung itself out and into Sean, knocking him down. The werewolf then fell on top of him, her tears staining his shirt.
"M-My village. Everyone! They all... they were all..." She wailed into his chest, her voice close to hysteria and tinged deeply with loss. Her head shot up suddenly and stared coolly into Sean's eyes. The yellow eye with its slightly slit pupil shining with a predatory gleam.
"We killed them," she said with an icy pleasure in her voice as the beast within cackled with delight.

Well, it looks like this kid's got bigger plans than I thought! I chuckle a little when Jeru makes some pretty bold claims only to be promptly shot down by Savvie. I'll say this: the kid's got courage to spare! It kinda reminds me of when I was a kid...but this isn't the time for nostalgia; I think I'll give him a little push forward. Who knows? Maybe he really will have his own land someday.
"So, you're gonna rule your own country, huh? I think I should warn you, it's gonna be a really big responsibility. I mean REALLY big! You're never gonna hear the end of it from your subjects, I can tell you that right now. You're gonna have to set up trade routes, build up your fortifications, establish diplomatic relations with other countries, all kinds of complicated stuff."

...What? I had to have a little fun with him first. After letting that sink in for a few moments, I laugh it off and continue.

"Just kidding, you don't need to worry about that kind of stuff right now. More importantly, you need to decide what kind of title you're gonna have! King? High King? Emperor? Or maybe even...Pirate King!"
I clear my throat, look straight ahead, snap off a salute and call out in my best squire voice. I can't help smiling widely as I do.
"All hail Pirate King Jeru of Jeruland!"
Going back to my normal voice, I turn my head towards him again.
"You know, something like that. So, tell me something. What kind of king are you going to be?"

Mordred taps Tyrcestus' shoulder to get his attention after the latter introduces himself.
"It seems that the girl is unable to speak. Whether her condition can be healed or not, I cannot say."
He then turns back to the girl.
"You can trust this man, he is idealistic to a fault and much more capable of providing whatever help you need than I. Truth be told, you should trust him more than you trust me. Whatever your instincts told you when you first saw me were likely accurate."

OOT: Gonna be introducing a new character soon. But first I need to break Fallout 4's stranglehold on me. I think I'll be taking a break from it soon...maybe...probably.

Penelope nods to Mordred. It didn't matter to her, she didn't trust anyone. Penelope eyed the other man cautiously and without noticing started to bite her thumb. Realizing now that she must look like a peasant Penelope begins to fix her hair, she hated looking improper

Sean watched her as she talked. At first she sounded cold, as if her hearts been driven cold. But then he noticed that her tone changed and before he knew it he was knocked down and she'd landed on top of him. He expected her to try and bite him but to his surprise she was crying into his chest. She changed so fast. her personality and even the look in her face was different. He continued to listen as he found out why she was crying. Then in another instant her cold look returned as well as her cold toned voice.

Great, this werewolf has a split personallity. no wonder she's locked up in this place.
Aren't you supposed to be a spiritual guide?
Well I am your spirit guide. And I'm just saying....
you just missed my point, didn't you.

Sean looked at her and analyzed the whole situation.

Well, my instincts haven't done anything against her yet. that said she also hasn't done anything against me other than knocking me down. Also a god sign. But she does have a split personality that changes quickly......

Sean looked into her eyes showing no fear. He could see she had a feral side but she also had a shy caring side to her as well.

"I'm so sorry to hear that. Thats something someone like you should never go thru. Depending on what attacks could really mess your mind up, trust me. I've gone up against and have stumbled on things like that. but anyways, would you like to come with us to keep what happened to your village from happening to the whole world? We could use everyone we can."

Zerron smiled a little as he saw her blush.
"So? Your rescuing someone from your crew? very noble. But your right, they'd have to be strong to survive in a place like this on their own. It's possable for someone thats weaker to be down here if they come down in a group. Even if there's only one or two strong people in it, still you'll have strength in numbers, depending on skill set of course."

As they walked into the next room of cells he heard Briarle gasp and he looked around and found only two of the cells occupied.
" why do I have a feeling that this place is just going to get darker...."

He looked towards the cell that sean had ran off to just as he saw sean get knocked down by a cell door followed by a werewolf girl. She was only clothed in a old moldy sheet and he saw the cresant moon scars on her stomach. As he was thinking he watched her land on top of Sean. He chuckled a little as she wailed into his chest.

man if this keeps happening to you with all of the girls you meet, then I'd be both proud of you and envious.

"Umm..." said a voice in Tyrcestus's head. It was an all together timid voice, clearly not used to speaking with anyone.
"I...I hate to be a nuisance, but do you think you could perhaps...err...well...tell me where I am? If it's not too much trouble, of-of course. If it is, I understand completely. Too much trouble, I mean..."
The voice rambled. It was obvious that the speaker wanted to stop talking, but was having issues finding a suitable stopping point, creating a horrible loop of apologies and reminders.

OOT been too stumped to reply so here is a short one

Trinity watched the girl before the, curious as to why she was placed into the cell. Was she dangerous or was she just a prisoner. She listened in when Mordred told the girl that she was better off trusting Ty and not him. She figured it was the same reason he told her previously, before they caught up with the group. At this point there really wasn't much she could do to help in the form she was in. She just sat quietly on Mordreds shoulder, maybe an opportunity will arise that she could be of some assistance

Mordred gave a quick glance to Tyrcestus.
"I trust that you have the situation well in hand. In that cast, I will make sure the road ahead is secure. If you'll excuse me."

He walked off, not feeling the need to wait for a response. When they were some distance away from the rest of the group once again, he turned his head slightly towards Trinity.
"I meant to ask you this earlier but it seems the thought slipped my mind. This may sound like an odd question but have you tried changing forms while wearing any of the clothes you took from the Elven camp?"
He thought back to when they "acquired" a good deal of supplies from the abandoned encampment.
"I can hardly say for certain, but I believe some of them may have been enchanted by Elven magic, such as the outfit you wore before we made our way here. They may even be compatible with your shapeshifting abilities. Ultimately, I will leave the decision up to you if you want to try it or not, but it could give you quite a unique advantage if you were able to shift forms at will."

Jeru grinned. “If you’re a nice honest person, you get to stay. If you’re a bad mean person, we throw fruit at you in the stocks all day.” Jeru paused.”You can be my Pirate Diplomatic Ambassador of Jeruland.” He looked down between his legs at Leon’s face. “Sound good?”

Savvie stepped back, satisfied with the newest members of the group. He leaned over to Penelope. “Don’t worry about your hair, lass. That said, I admire yer priorities.”

Stake positioned itself near the werewolf girl, both out of curiosity at something it had never seen before and as a caution – this thing didn’t look it, but the air around it screamed of danger.

Hailbird and Brisk had taken up defensive positions on the outer rim of the group, Brisk with an arrow notched, Hailbird with shield and sword at the ready. “Wrap things up,” Brisk said curtly. “Longer we stay and dilly-dally, the more chance we have of being caught off-guard.” The pirates shifted nervously, and clustered around Luceforvis and Leon for comfort and support.

Tyrcestus paused, trying to grasp what was happening.
    Can... can you hear that?
I hear it... wait, no. I hear a him.
This isn’t a prank, is it?
My pranks are far more meticulous and comedic.

Briarle approached Tyrcestus from the side, looking shy, and Martyris shunted Tyrcestus back into control of his own body. Tyrcestus blushed at Briarle’s proximity – she was a very beautiful buxom young lady – and for a moment the two stood awkwardly.
    “C-can I help you?”
Briarle blushed harder. “I was wondering – are – are you a Enfused?”
    Tyrcestus blinked. “Pardon?”
“I-Is there a god inside you?”
    Tyrcestus’s mouth dropped, stunned. “Y-yeah...”

Martyris mentally took the newcomer in Tyrcestus’s head aside. “Alright,” he said kindly. “At present, you are inside the mind of the Wingmender who is at the bottom of Levia Inferis. I’m Martyris. Does that clear things up?”

Vizard and Gizzard had sidled to look at the prisoners, and Gizzard wordlessly handed Penelope a cloth band with which to do her hair. No explanation was given as to why he would have something like that on his person.

Hexy looked down at Sean with the werewolf girl on his chest, and her mouth turned just a little at the corners. “I... don’t do sharing.” Fweep tried to gently pry Sean and the werewolf girl apart, sensing the jealousy of its mistress.

The captain had consulted the map again. “Only a few rooms to the end of this floor!” he called out, to reassure everyone.

After Sean came to a conclusion that the werewolf was most likely safe for now, he realized that this werewolf was a girl. Not only that but he remembered that she had nothing on but a old sheet. His face suddenly blushed as he realized what this might look like. Sean got out from under her when he saw that Fweep was trying to pry the werewolf girl off of him.

"Anyways, you seem okay for now." As he talked he heard the captain say that they only had a few rooms left on this floor.
Oh thank the gods, something to get my mind off of.... this.

"I'm glad to hear that captain."

Zerron laughed at the reactions sean and hexy had. Maybe it was good that he tagged along after all. He walked over to where the captain was and tried to take a look at the map.

"Should we go on ahead then? I'm not sure there's much of anything here but a warning to anyone beyond this point. would be a good place for a warning, right captain?

She growled as the broom jabbed her. With a swift motion the wolf pounced on the broom, closing the handle in her powerful jaws. The broom's sudden movement made her let go.

    "Mean!" Whined the werewolf.

Getting to her feet, she growled at Hexy. The feral golden gleam in her eye affixed on the witch as her lips split to her ears and her face begin to just slightly shift forward into a muzzle. Stepping forward, body posture set on ripping and rending. Her clawed hands shot to the sides of her head as she collapsed in pain, curling up on the floor. The pain seared through her veins until the Change recessed back into its cage. Panting, she pulled herself back up using the bars of her cell for assistance.

"So you just attack people out of nowhere?" She growled keeping her glare aimed at Hexy.

After fixing her hair Penelope fixed her composure. Penelope sighed deeply and crossed her arms, she needed a long bath and warm meal... She kept her eyes fixated on the ground trying not make eye contact. After a few seconds Penelope examined the group again. Why were they here? Penelope frowned, they obviously weren't other prisoners they seemed to kind. Penelope sighed again, she looked at Savvie in the corner of her eye keeping the other eye closed. She couldn't help but smile, usually when someone said anything about her hair she'd just kill them, not this time though, this time she felt a slight twinge of comfort. Penelope closed her eyes and brushed her hair behind her ear, she hid the smile, showing emotion was dangerous, she felt stupid for letting herself go like that.
