Do you guys like any games that are widely accepted as not being very good?

For me, it's Final Fantasy XIII. I actually liked it, and I even liked the characters (except for Snow who I wanted to punch in the face). Although I realize that it has many flaws, is far from the best FF game, and I'm practically the only person on Earth who likes it. =P

    Ride to Hell Retribution.

Nah I'm just shitting with you xD

I personally think Pokemon Black and White 2 were the best in the whole franchise, so I guess you can say it's a guilty pleasure since it's difficult to find anyone who agrees with me xD

Not sure if this qualifies, but I'd have to go with Earthworm Jim.

Resident Evil 5 and FFXIII. 5 was fun due to doing it late at night, lights off, and on the hardest difficulty with only 1 experienced player and controller passing around. FFX13 was just laid back fun.
Radiata Stories kinda sorta (my favorite game). It never had a bad rep, but RPG purists disliked it.

Civilization Call to Power 1 (the knock off of the famous Sid Meir series of Civilization games). Quite honestly I love this game far more then the other ones, it's more on the "macro" level then "micro" level. Less emphasis on the individual cities (you can easily get up to over 100 cities) and more on general health of the civilization. Also has a superior method of building infrastructure, you don't have to build individual worker units. It's all available under the public works button. Your entire civilization produces the needed production hammers for you to use where you see fit. Too bad the A.I is a dumb fool. Higher difficulties requires gaming the system due to tech lead and blatant tech trading spam.

Dynasty Warriors and all their ilk. I don't care if it's repetitive, I love those games. Still waiting for that hundred thousand men battlefield maps.

Earth 2150, an older PC strategy game that was one of the earliest to do the whole "3d" battlefield look. Think command and conquer Tiberium wars with more robots and environments. I don't think it was poorly received, just completely under the radar. A lengthy campaign with three different factions, all of which require different strategies and even different ways of acquiring resources. High tech faction is easy mode but they lack powerful units until the end game. It get's annoying when your strongest unit for most of the game is the campaign unique unit and a bunch of rocket launcher hover crafts.
Robot dudes are the flexible all around faction. They get arguably the most OP weapon in the game, the plasma cannons. Of course enjoy getting your ass handed to you on a plate when you get halfway through the campaign, a certain plot point turns the robots against you. Good times, I remember freaking out on which levels they do that to you. One level does it to you twice.
The last are the generic modern tank army guys. Tank spam to victory. No really, it's the ideal way to win with them. There campaign is the longest and apparently the hardest. Funny thing is you can steal the robots from the robot faction for the lolz and take them to future levels.
Just a fun strategy game, honestly a favorite of mine.

Just thought of this one, Suikoden IV. I adore that game, although I may be the only one. =P

I do, however, recognize its glaring flaws. But I still just really enjoy it.

Hyperdimension Neptunia. The story is f***ing stupid, I hate the dialogue so god damn much, and the voice acting is grating but I think it's a fun game... or it can be a fun game at least.

Yes, yes, yesyesyesyesyes - a thousand times yes!!! I love DW! I don't play for the story, although it is pleasant to know, I play to kill all the enemies on a map and slowly watch the death of the leader of my enemies. xD
Oh, and to level my characters up to the max..... that too..................................

Wait, you played Civilization: Call to Power (CCtP) as well? God I love that game. I still have the CD and I still have it installed. It also provided what I liked: bigger tech tree to research. I actually felt like I was building my civilization up. Sid Meier games have recently dumped a lot of that in favor of "easier" gameplay, detailed graphics, and multiplayer. Starting with Civilization: Revolution and Civ4. Civilization: Beyond Earth added something unique to it, so I kinda like what they have going so far, but not nearly as much int he way of love that I have for CCtP.

I actually thought the story from DW8 was well done, Icing on the cake. Pays to be based on a book. A little buggy with same screen Co-op (Yes I still play games like this). The Xbox 360 port wasn't very good but a patch did clear some things up a bit.

Woah, someone besides me actually played this game!? This one is defenitely my guilty pleasure, I play it from time to time, attempting to crush the A.I on Diety but it's a cheating bastard at that level. Nothing steal tech can't solve ;)

Best strategy in the game? Deliberately triggering global warming wiping out half the map

I wish there was a way to force the game to start at a later tech level though. Very seldom do I get the chance to play with the really cool future stuff.

Otome games in general. I tend to like ones that are well made but my friends (or at least my male friends that game find it weird that I play them).

Despite Hakuoki being one of the most popular otome games I prefered Sweet Fuse At Your Side. I usually mute my games but this game was fully voiced in Japanese with English subtitles. This game holds my vote for best voice acting even in other game genres.

Sadly it's for PSP which didn't sell well as a system. The game is geared to females so I won't suggest it to male gamers. Also I would not recommend it to people who find visual novels boring.
