Your favorite anime?

I have revamped this thread from being about helping me find a cool anime to being about what in your opinion is the best anime! I know there are quite a bit of other threads about this topic but this is my first thread so ill start with something generic.

As you are new to anime,I would recommend watching the following:
Death Note
Full Metal Alchemist
Terror in Resonance
Black Lagoon
Cowboy Bebop
Durarara!!
Steins;Gate
Eden of the East
Gundam Wing
Vision of Escaflowne

I recommend these series over what I generally enjoy, as I feel as though you need to watch all the above in order to get an idea of what you will enjoy. They all cover different genres and explore different themes. Each of them have very good soundtracks as well. And I believe these to have the most appeal in terms of a story for those who are new to watching anime.

 

Fate /stay night unlimited blade works and Fate zero are both on Netflix (Canada).

They both are dubbed and most people really like them.

They are similar to Blue Exorcist.

Blue exorcist 2 is on Crunchyroll if you don't mind subtitles.

I recommend you watch zero, then Fate stay night ubw.

 

For starters, do you have any genres in mind that you might like to watch at this moment, such as recommending a comedy or action or romance anime, or would you right now just want a general list of our favorites?

 

Thank you I will make sure to check these out! Actually I have already watched Durarara!! it was decent except for the music that constantly played in the back ground I liked celty and shizuo but except for them I found the rest of the characters distasteful

 

I like action and comedy I really like to be able to feel a connection between the characters and myself I hate when the main character is dislikeable! but if you have a series you really like ill check it out to get a better understanding for what I really like

action and comedy ... hmmmmmmmmm.

baccano - same universe and creators from durrrrrr. i enjoyed this one and i hope you will too.

afro samurai - if blood dont bother you, this would be for you. warning its with mature content.

canaan - chicks with guns.

girls und panzer - now this one is one lighter spectrum of action. dont be fooled by the girlyness of the show, the staff really did their research when it comes to tanks.

hellsing ultimate - not much comedy but its action packed.

thats it for now. feel free to tag me if you want some more. i only listed anime that i think are action and comedy.

I would suggest GATE Jieitai, but it has a bit of a harem theme to it. Unless you don't mind that.
Also try Drifters. It has action and some comedy in it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest Code Geass. It is a bit old, but it is good. Which if you do enjoy that try Guilty Crown.

I already mentioned this in another post I've made, but my favorite anime are love live, hajime no ippo, re:zero and code geass.
Why's my favorite anime re:zero? Rem. I don't need to say any more. To me personally, she's the embodiment of a perfect character. Maybe a little too perfect. I hope I'm not the only one with this opinion.
