Just watched the New sonic movie and just wanted to say 8/10 good comedy and they had done a great job with the redisine of sonic looks like him this time not like a muntent rat like last time
Patriots Day - 7/10 Love this movie, not for the story it tells; but, because it brings about an emotional response. Rarely do you get that with a lot of movies on the same level as this one. It's also cool how they transitioned between the original videos/clips and the ones recorded with the actors.
Watched the Monarch Universe recently. And I am making a hypothesis of their next movie where Godzilla and Kong will have fight like Superman vs Batman and they will just suddenly stop cuz Ghidorah will appear again and I think they will do it exactly the same and team up and defeat Ghidorah.
As of late been watching all of the latest anime series being released for the fall... as per norm... Note worthy to mention that are a must see: - the latest from the series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? S3 has already brought back nostalgia of how the 'Little Rookie' Bell has made himself a key part of all the characters in the realm and familias alike, even his enemies admire him. I'm looking forward to how this seasons arc will blow my mind! - another great series that has also hit its 3rd season is Golden Kamuy; riddled with alot of Japanese history tidbits throughout the series, it's great to see how far such unique story line has come into it's own (like any anime, it's source material usually comes from short-novels or searlized manga series); so I am jacked to see if our protagnist The Invincible Sugimoto can once again be reunited with his dear Asirpa! Can't wait! - To more newer series that's just been released, "By the Grace of the Gods". This a very cute style series, which has some promise. Not going to lie though, feels like it might be a short-lived series... but hope that it at least proivdes 24 epi then just the standard 12. But on Netflix... getting into the Christmas buzz... watched the following with my own ratings for each: Rated 8/10 A nice feel-good movie... and if opposites attracts... this is the kind of movie that could possibly take place IRL 8/10 As this is a trilogy movie franchise... it is great to see what happens to our female protagnist... esp. as she finds life in the Aldovian Kingdom not what it's cracked up to be! (The 3rd Movie of the trilogy is called 'The Christmas Prince - The Royal Baby'. I haven't watched this yet, but def on the cards leading up to Christmas! Of course for those of you who are SCI-FI buffs like myself... you cannot help but keep up with the crew of The Discovery... To be fair S1 was a bit slow and monotinous for me... but S2 soon made quick succession in gearing me up for what S3 has made up for it is spades! Seeing great actresses like Michelle Yeoh (Queen of Kung Fu movies) and for those of you who will know her very intimately from fan-fav Zombie classic long-standing cult series The Walking Dead (TWD), explosive actress Sonequa Martin-Green in the lead role. Worth the binge to catch up to S3 if you haven't done so yet.
I stared watch re watching VIKIKINGS its so good the costumes and character actors are top nottch it literally takes you back to vikking times plus its based around a true histoircal factor
Well just getting around to posting this now. Almost a week ago I got to see Godzilla vs Kong. It was a fun movie. I think its probably my favourite one of the recent Godzilla movies. Nothing like watching a giant monster movie on the big screen.
It was exactly what you want from a Kaiju movie, Mass scale destruction and fuck the plot! I really enjoyed, it was decent way to conclude the franchise for now. Would be nice to see a Pacific Rim cross-over one day.
I actually liked the plot. That is to say the Kong side of the plot. The whole Godzilla cast I really didn't care for. But we came for the giant monsters and we got a lot of them. All was good. Now this would be interesting. But Pacific Rim wasn't the best either.
Last shows I watched was Ore no Ie no Hanashi (A story on my home) and 3-B Kinpachi-Sensei. Ore Hanashi was really good show, does many things that you just wouldn't expect would happen. 3-B was an amazing show on the then current problems in 1970s-80s Japan. I started s2 of 3-B but its nowhere near as good as the characters and stories in s1. I'm near the end of s2, so when I finally sit down to finish it, I think I'll take a break from it and ask my friends of any more shows they think I'd like. That or I could go rewatch Nigehaji (NIgeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu (Running Away is embarrassing, but comes in Handy)), because Hoshino Gen and Aragaki Yui actually decided to get married this year lol.
So I just finished watching both WandaVision and Falcon & Winter Soldier. WandaVision was much better than I initially thought. I was put off by the trailer for a while. I thought they'd play up the romance aspect between them more. So I was pleasantly surprised. Meanwhile I was disappointed by Winter Soldier. I thought it'd be a buddy cop kind of show with interactions. Instead I got a long boring politically motivated show. There were good episodes but as a whole I was sitting there bored more time than not.
