Welcome @Charun Drakarus You are now officially a JustAnimeNetwork Chatango moderator. So what does this mean now that you're staff? We expect our staff to behave in a professional manner and serve as role models to the rest of the community. You will need to read through the Staff Policy sign-off form which is located in the JAN staff section and fill out the emergency contact info (two threads total to sign off on). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Your responsibilities are as follows. * Moderate chatango users Oversee and regulating Chatango members. Please follow chat rules while doing so. * Stay fluent with chat rules In order to moderate and mediate correctly you must be fluent with our Chatango rules. Mods must frequently read the Chatango rules in order to stay constantly up to date. This thread also includes rules for you to follow as a moderator. https://justanimeforum.net/threads/chatango-rules.12984/ * Stay up to date with site announcements This is important as you will get tons of random people in the chat asking all sorts of questions. When our chat staff are familiar with site updates and current events it helps spread information to our site regulars. * Post user infractions in our department of corrections This is one of the most important. We require Chatango staff to document bans and warnings in our department of corrections section. We follow a sort of three strike rule with people in the chat so it is important to log infractions so they can be compared against any future violations. This ensures staff actions are justified and done fairly as each infraction is reviewed by the chat admins. * Be fair This might seem like a simple request but we don't want chat mods being extremely strict with members. We want bans to be the last resort. And we want official warning to be something that is done only in serious situations. Mods need to be fair and lean towards warnings instead of bans. Bans should always be a last resort for habitual rule breakers. Each staff member receives a work flow list each month so look out for any to-do lists in our staff section of the forum. Thank you for your time, we look forward to working with you!
