Film distribution company Eleven Arts announced that the upcoming animated film K: Missing Kings will debut theatrically in the United States on July 18 at L.A.'s Downtown Independent theater. The screening will include a Q&A session with the film's voice actor Masakazu Morita (Yukari Mishakuji) and producer Gou Nakanishi (Flowers of Evil, Fafner, Knights of Sidonia).

Eleven Arts plans to screen the film in over 45 theaters across the U.S. starting on July 18. The company also plans to screen the film in Canada starting in late September. The Eleven Arts website lists theater and ticket information for the U.S.

Moviegoers in both the United States and Canada will receive a special edition B4 sized movie program (pictured above), while supplies last.

Anime Expo in L.A. and Japan Expo in Paris hosted the world premieres of K: Missing Kings last week — before the film opens in Japan. The film will open in Japan this Saturday.

The band angela is performing the theme song "Different colors." The song's CD single will go on sale July 12, the same day as the film's opening in Japan. A drama CD of the spinoff manga Gakuen K went on sale with angela's "This is Love" and "Shunkashūtō" (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) songs on July 9.

The official website for the film outlined the story:
The “Academy Island Incident” in which all four “kings” cross paths... Since then, Silver Clansmen Kuroh Yatogami and Neko have been searching for their master, Shiro. Without finding any clues to Shiro's whereabouts, the two became disheartened. However, one day, they see HOMRA members Rikio Kamamoto and Anna Kushina being chased by someone.

The television anime premiered in 2012, and Viz Media streamed it in North America as it aired. An English dub streamed on Viz's Neon Alley service. Viz released the series on Blu-ray and DVD.
