Toshinori Sogabe published the last chapter of his manga adaptation of Ichiro Sakaki's Scrapped Princess novels on Kadokawa's Comic Clearwebsite on Friday.

Tokyopop previously published all three volumes of Go Yabuki's 2002 manga adaptation in English. Tokyopop also published part of Sakaki's original novel series, and described the story of the first novel:

Fourteen years ago, a dark and devastating prophecy was revealed: a girl will bring about destruction and death and the world will lie in ruins. A decree was handed down to destroy this baby girl and all evidence of her prophecy to come but despite all efforts, the myth lives on...and so does the Lost Princess. Fourteen years later, the prophesized destroyer of the world is alive and well! Will she doom all and destroy the world or will she defy the gods and prove them wrong?

Sogabe (Ah My Buddha, Amaenaideyo!!) launched the manga in Comic Clear in October 2016. Kadokawa published the manga's second compiled book volume on January 15.

Sakaki (Chaika the Coffin Princess, Outbreak Company, Bluesteel Blasphemer) published the original 13-novel series and the five-volume Scrapped Princess Supplement series from 1999-2005. The novels inspired an anime adaptation in 2003 from studio BONES. Bandai Entertainment released the series in North America, but its license expired in 2011. Funimation most recently released the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in February 2017, and the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.
