The Wallflower's Tomoko Hayakawa Ends Kirakira Heart Drop Manga

The August issue of Shogakukan's Petite Comic magazine publishedthe final chapter of Tomoko Hayakawa's Kirakira Heart Drop manga on Friday.

Hayakawa launched the manga as a short series in November 2016. The manga centers on a female office worker named Aki who still dreams of meeting her ideal prince one day. She meets a man at her company who is handsome and the son of the president, but things don't go as planned for Aki.

Hayakawa ended her The Wallflower manga in January 2015 after 15 years of serialization.

Kodansha Comics began releasing The Wallflower in North America after taking over publication rights from Del Rey in 2010. Kodansha Comics released the manga's 36th and final compiled volume in March 2016. The Wallflower inspired a 2006-2007 25-episode television anime series, which ADV Films released on DVD. The story also inspired a live-action television series in 2010.
