There are the guardians who follow the traveler and others who separate themselves from the light. That is how the guardians get lost and others kill them from straying from the light.(Based on the video game Destiny)

Upon the world of darkness John the guardian called "White death" kills many guardians either who follow or stray from the path of the traveler.

Kaanye stood on the crumbling wall in the Cosmodrome. Looking out of the bleak wasteland of Old Earth, Russia, she took in a breath of the chill air. Her gaze flicked to the Traveller hanging impossibly huge in the distance. The Guardian had been forged in the Crucible, the gladiatorial combat between the thousands of Guardians defending the last city of humanity. Her time spent there taught her two things. The first was that fighting to the death taught her how to take her fellow light wielders down with a proficiency unmatched by their foes. And the second lesson was that she enjoyed killing her comrades much more than the massed enemies arrayed against them.

The sigh echoed inside of her helmet as her shadowy form rose. She had once been of the Warlock faction, one of the three tribes of Guardian. The Nova power filled her with a deadly energy, further enhanced by the abilities granted her by the Taken King, Oryx. She was in no way a favorite among his lieutenants, having been among the group that had murdered his son. But she had sworn her fealty on bent knee atop the corpses of her surprised companions. Their quest had been to kill the monster she now served. But betrayal had been sweet, the cries of shock and disbelief from her past friends as one by one the hand cannon kicked hard against her palm. She'd expected Oryx to kill her, but he didn't.

    He'd made her Taken.

Dropping down from her vantage point, the Ex Guardian strode purposefully into the Russian wastes, intent on regaining access to the city she once called home.

Kaanye hunted all of the guardians left in the Cosmodrome , with the taken running through her blood she had no trouble doing so. Kaanye had finally made it to the place she once called home before the collapse, the whole place had been torn down by fallen skiffs entering the atmosphere and the reaming guardians destroying the one thing that would stop her.. She gazed upon the wreck and grinned, "now there is nothing to hold me back" Kaanye's army of taken took the chromosome for them selves. Kaanye had a plan to capture on of the players on the Cosmodrome, A player that could no longer fight, a player who had fought their entire life to protect the ones they love.

Kaanye did that before but it never worked, the one she loved had died to these monsters. "They will pay soon enough" Kaanye said, at that moment the taken had spotted 2 guardians at the spawn point. Kaanye felt the urge to kill them both but that wasn't the plan. Kaanye had approached them with up most courage, the guardians both were Dead-orbit followers. One of them female and the other male, they were holding their guns up to Kaanye's head. She shrugged it off and took the Hawlkmoon out of the males hand and shot the female in the sholder, the female dead-orbit member couldnt shoot her arm was almost blown clear off.

A voice spoke in side of her head "KILL HIM NOW" that was the voice of Oryx so that is what she did blew him into the oblivion.

Kyle a high class Titan decided to take a look into the whole "mumbo jumbo" about the taken guardian, so he took a his "wolf hunter byx" ship to earth to investigate. all of Old Russia was consumed with taken blights scattered around the area so more than enough could spawn so he had to be careful, when he looked at his feet and saw a dead titan on the ground with a hole in his chest. It looked like a shot from a Thorn or a Hawlkmoon, if it were to be a Thorn it would still be in him.

A taken scout group was moving by there were 2 hobgoblins and 3 goblins an average scout group, But my mission is for information not a big fight, so hiding in the shadows was Kyle's tacit. The scouts moved their decrepit bodies by not noticing a thing, Kyle was always monitoring his radar. at a a freindly indication appeared on the radar but it disappeared within seconds and an enemy indication took its place. Kyle was confused with the situation and kept his position because if he moves he will be detected.

John was to busy to worry about the hell rising on earth, he just continued with murdering anyone who gets in his way. "White death" comes from the term "death by sniper", John uses his Black spindle to hunt down people. sometimes it is just an ordinary person or a bounty on a guardian, he just stayed on mars killing anyone that comes his way.

The wreckage had been packed down by the accumulation of dirt blown by the endless winds of earth. The person she'd cared for, the ones she'd loved. Dead for centuries. Before the Ghost brought her back. When the Traveler was still a new discovery and the Darkness an unknown enemy. They had been happy, for a time. Living during the height of the golden age of humanity instilled a casual superiority. Nothing could stop the Earth. Then the Fallen came. The Hive followed. And everything came to a horrible end.

Waking up amnesiac with a hunk of metal hovering over her, urging her to move. Those first weeks had been difficult. She'd taken solace in the mindlessness of her duties and the consuming glee of her newfound abilities. But there was just one problem. Sure she fought with other guardians. Protected the traveler and fought its enemies, just like before.

This was no longer her war. She had given her life before. The echo of who she had once been was replaced by a fell chill that never left her body. So as she struggled to find some reason to keep fighting, the growing inevitability of their fall drug her deeper and deeper into the need to be with the victor, no matter what the cost may be.

The first to be lost was her ghost. Offered to the darkness as a gift.

Then her sanity began to slide but WHAT DID IT MATTER? That insufferable chill that plagued her since her resurrection was gone. Finally, completely. Now her core was filled with a cozy warmth. A warmth that made her feel at home.

The Dead-Orbit members lay mangled before her. Suppressing a giggle she moved onward. There was a blip on her radar. A Guardian. The diseased smirk covered her features, hidden under her helmet's visor. The taken hues fled to be replaced by silver and ice blue paint, weathered and scratched. With a friendly gesture she approached the Guardian she had discovered.

Kyle realized the enemy wasn't changing course so he decided to get on his sparrow to avoid any contact. with no luck he couldn't bring it out, Kyle's host alarmed him that the Taken Blights in the area were blocking the signal. Closer and closer the Enemy moved to Kyle's location, running out of ideas he decided to face the enemy head on guns blazing. Not knowing weather he was going to die or not. he turned the corner and it wasn't an enemy but another guardian. Kyle gave a faint smile in relief but then asked
    "how did you here?"

"On a mission from one of the Vanguards," Kaanye responded. "Probably just like you are." She shrugged. "Pretty much all any of us do, anyway."
She sized him up quickly, he was one of the Titan class and as such had a lot of physical might. It wasn't exactly a brains for brawn kind of thing, but the jokes came to her mind unbidden.

A Taken Scout slipped out of cover and she casually one-shot it with the marksman rifle. The thing fell over limp and dissolved in a burst of black and grey particles.
"So any idea why there're more of these than there were before?"
