The Fight Begins In The First Trailer For The Darkest Minds
A couple of days ago, we brought you some exclusive images from the new YA thriller The Darkest Minds. Now you can take a look at the film itself, as the first trailer has arrived, starring The Hunger Games' Amandla Stenberg.



Based on the book series by Alexandra Bracken, The Darkest Minds casts Stenberg as Ruby — a young woman who has survived a mysterious illness that’s wiped out most teens in America, and come out the other side with powerful abilities. After breaking out of government internment camp Thurmond, she sets off on the run with her fellow powered-up escapees, led by Liam (Beach Rats’ Harris Dickinson), to find the promised safe haven of East River.

The government forces (and a bounty hunter played by Game Of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie) are on their trail, and they'll have to fight to survive. Kung Fu Panda 2 veteran director Jennifer Yuh Nelson called the shots, and the film will be in cinemas on 10 August.
