Chris Morris has brought his scathing, satirical style to radio, TV and cinema before with the likes of The Day Today, Brass Eye and Four Lions. He's back in big screen territory for The Day Shall Come, which feels of a piece with the latter, even as it dials up extra daffiness.

Written by Morris alongside regular collaborators Tony Roche, Jesse Armstrong and Sean Gray, The Day Shall Come finds impoverished preacher Moses (Marchánt Davis) looking to bring hope and justice to the Miami projects. He and his small group are battling racial inequality and crime, and soon end up pinging the FBI's radar.

As the bureau hunts for new potential terror threats, Moses and his followers look to be perfect – even as they don't realise that he's delusional and definitely not anyone's idea of an organised terrorist. And events just spiral from there...

With Anna Kendrick, Kayvan Novak, Denis O'Hare, Jim Gaffigan and Danielle Brooks also in the cast, The Day Shall Come will hit UK cinemas on 11 October.
