Terra Formars TV Series Will Premiere on September 26

This year's 36-37 double issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that the Terra Formars television anime adaptation of Yū Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's manga will premiere on Tokyo MX on September 26. The anime will also air on CS TV channels beginning on October 2, followed by ABC, CBC, and BS11 channels.

The television series will cover the "Annex 1" arc and will star:

• Yoshimasa Hosoya as Akari Hizamaru
• Hidenobu Kiuchi as Shōkichi Komachi
• Shizuka Itou as Michelle
• Kaito Ishikawa as Marcos
• KENN as Alex
• Ai Kayano as Sheila
• Daisuke Ono as Keiji Onizuka
• Chiaki Takahashi as Kanako Sanjō
• Aki Toyosaki as Yaeko Yanasegawa
• Tomokazu Sugita as Ichirō Hiruma

The television anime will animate the Annex 1 arc of the manga, while the original video anime (OVA) project will adapt the Bugs 2 arc. The Annex 1 arc takes place 20 years after the Bugs 2 arc. The first volume of the OVA will ship with the 10th volume of the manga on August 20 and the second volume will ship with the 11th volume in November.
