This year's 23rd issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that the Terra Formars manga is inspiring two more spinoff manga. These two and the previously announced Terra For Police spinoff will run on the Tonari no Young Jump website on May 10.

Shōta Hattori is drawing the tentatively titled Terra Formars wa Oyasumi Desu. manga (pictured upper right). "The members have arrived … but not at Mars! It's a extremely silly spinoff!"

Serebixi-Ryōsangata is drawing the "unbelievable erotic gag manga" Oshiete! Michelle Kyōkan (Teach Me! Instructor Michelle, pictured center bottom). After being previewed in Tonari no Young Jump on May 10, this series will formally launch in the June issue of Miracle Jump magazine.

Writer Yū Sasuga and artist Kenichi Tachibana launched the original Terra Formars manga in 2011. The story begins in the year 2577, hundreds of years after scientists sent cockroaches and mold to terraform Mars. However, when the first manned ships land on Mars, they encounter large humanoid cockroaches with great strength, and are wiped out. Humanity then sends elite warriors to Mars to eliminate the cockroaches.

The original manga ranked at #3 on the Da Vinci magazine's list of the best male-oriented comics in the first half of 2013. The manga also topped the male readers category of the 2013 edition of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook. The manga was nominated for last year's Manga Taisho award. Viz Media licensed the manga for North America.

A television anime and original video anime (OVA) adaptation of the original manga has been green-lit.
