Teekyū Creator Roots Relaunches Roots Beer Manga on Comic Earth Star Site

Manga creator Roots relaunched a different version of his Roots Beer manga on the Comic Earth Star website on Sunday.

Roots wrote and drew the first four-panel manga version of the manga on the Nico Nico Seiga website. Roots launched the manga on Nico Nico Seiga last April.

The manga centers on Suzu, an office worker who loves drinking beer. In the relaunched manga's first chapter, a colleague from work invites her to drink saying that they need to talk, but is forced to leave early after getting a call, leaving Suzu alone. In the pub, Suzu makes various observations of the people around her.

Roots and Piyo launched the Teekyū manga in Comic Earth Star in early 2012, and the first anime season was announced just months later on the manga's first book volume. The anime's eighth season premiered in October, and Crunchyroll has streamed all eight seasons.

Taibundo Publishing released the Teekyū manga's 12th compiled book volume in October.

Crunchyroll has also streamed the Takamiya Nasuno Desu! and Usakame spinoffs. The Takamiya Nasuno Desu! manga launched in Comic Earth Star in 2014, and ended in 2015. The Usakame manga launched in September 2015, and is currently ongoing.​
