    Post anything related to the new Smash Bros here in this thread!

    You can talk about which characters are your favorite, least favorite, which characters you use, the combat system, characters you think are overpowered, characters you think are under-powered, which stage is your favorite/least favorite, which final smashes are your favorite/least favorite, the possibilities are basically endless!

    Or if you don't have the game yet, but are interested in hearing perspectives about the gameplay or characters, this is a great place to start!     [Please be warned that some posts may contain spoilers].​

    My personal favorite character is Sonic because he's so quick. It allows me to pretty much go berserk attacking people and feel satisfied after doing so. Although I'm a little disappointed that his final smash was nerf'd. It was so fun killing everyone after getting it xD

    It was kind of a given that sonic's FS was going to be nerfed. Im pretty happy with how they did it.

    I've only played a few hours into it and dont even have all the characters yet, but here are my thoughts so far.
    Little Mac - OP AND EASY TO USE. All around quick heavy hitter and his KO gauge fill quick and typically results in a KO. Got a friend who has never played? Give them little mac. He is the new Kirby.
    Shulk - Its going to take me forever to really get a handle on him. Its pretty cool how they gave him different modes, but the characters are japanese....
    Zelda/Sheik/Samus/Zero Suit splits. Im going to miss the transformation of zelda. Glad they split Samus up though. Makes the final smash reasonable to use.
    Rosalina - ugh another ice climbers character.

    Why so many clones???? Slight differences to nearly none detectable at all until you start changing their moves. Couldn't they have been alt costumes or something? (pit/dark pit, links, marth/lucina mario/dr mario fox/falco ) lucina is a perfect clone with the exception that her power is along the whole sword rather than the tip like marth.

    Smash Run....interesting.......still trying to figure some things out like how some computers max a stat to 1000

    Maps - a lot of jumping maps, small platforms, and occasionally large enough to be difficult to see the characters.

    Yea, I was thinking the same thing. I'm doing the challenges and some of them deal with using every character, so I've been exposed to Mario/Dr.Mario and most of the other clones, and I really see almost no difference. Makes it a pain in the a$$ to get some of the challenges, especially since some of the cloned characters I'm not good with.

    He's a pain... good luck xD

    beat master core on 5.1 with samus for the first time. ugh, he's a pain. i dont want to imagine him on 10.

    For anyone interested or for anyone who plays competitively, there was a very early tier list made in Japan for the game. Although it is only the first one, so things could drastically change.

    I still have a hard time seeing Ike as bottom tier. Shulk is a pain to learn if you cant read the kanji. I think he will go up some soon.
    • 翔 (Jump): Higher jumps, lower defense.
    • 疾 (Speed): Faster movement, lower jumps, weaker attacks.
    • 盾 (Shield): Higher defense, lower jumps, weaker attacks, slower movement.
    • 斬 (Buster): Stronger attacks, weaker launch ability, lower defense.
    • 撃 (Smash): Stronger launch ability, weaker attacks, lower defense against launching.
    Bowser is indeed a beast now! Little mac might end up 2nd tier. I cant fathom a good rosalina player, it would proabably be terrifying. Yoshi has gotten better but not that good.

    If you know how to use Ike, he can get you a lot of wins. He's just so slow that newer players or casual players will get destroyed in 1 on 1 matches. Ike really shines in 1 on 1 matches when he can get an opponent in the air, and do damage with his aerials. In my experience, Ike shines in 4-player smash where not everyone is focused on you, which allows you to set up multiple attacks coupled with the fact that Ike is a b!tch to knock off the stage.

    It is terrifying. So much so that I'm starting to think Rosalina needs to be nerfed a little. Rosalina is like a better version of ice climbers, only ice climbers had a simple mechanic that prevented them from being god tier, and that was the fact that when one died, you had to wait until you died in order to get the other one back [According to one of my friends who told me, I never had brawl, I played it with my friends when we hung out]. In this case, there is really no point to attacking Luma because he'll just re-spawn after 8 seconds, in which the Rosalina player could then jump up really high using her insane recovery, or play the dodge game until then. It's really broken IMO. Even an average Rosalina player can probably beat a semi-good player with any other character [Especially sonic, since his range is absolute shit].

    Right, so I got this game now (a while ago, probably a month ago to be exact). So who wants to Brawl? Or Melee, or SMASH?... On the 3DS of course!!

    Ah well, I only have like 3 characters or so left to unlock on Super Smash Bros 3DS. It will take me forever to unlock them LoL. Plus, I haven't played it in a while. Been hooked on Pokemon Omega Ruby, Halo 3 and Final Fantasy 13 :p
