Sunrise to Release Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny With New English Dub

Sunrise announced at its official Gundam panel at Otakon on Friday that it will release the HD remastered versions of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny with new English dubs recorded at NYAV Post. The dub will have a brand new cast under director Carrie Keranen.

Bandai Channel began streaming a 48-episode remastered version of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed in 2011 and followed it up with a remastered version of the sequel Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny in 2013. Both remastered series got Blu-ray Disc releases in Japan.

Bandai Entertainment released the original versions of both series with English dubs, and some episodes of Gundam Seed aired on Cartoon Network in the United States in 2004. Bandai

Year 70 of the Cosmic Era. The Coordinators, a group of genetically enhanced humans, have moved into colonies orbiting the Earth. But that hasn't quieted the tensions between them and regular humans; the conflict soon escalates into a full-scale war. On the neutral colony of Heliopolis, Kira Yamato, and his friends are going to school and just being kids. But when the ZAFT commando forces attack, Kira's life changes forever.

Left with no choice, he and Federation officer Murrue Ramius are thrown into battle in a prototype mobile weapon, which Kira christens "GUNDAM." Now, Kira must defend himself and his friends from his own people. For, unknown to anyone else, Kira is a Coordinator. And the enemy he faces on the battlefield is his childhood best friend, Athrun!

Gundam Seed is streaming on Hulu with English subtitles.​

 

Honestly, I am very surprised. Before, there are precedents re-dubbed animes , "Sailormoon" and "Escaflowne(it is Sunrize anime)", but it is the precident of Gundam series.I am satisfied with Canada dubbed version, and also expect new dubbed version.
Lacus is Mikuru Asahina or Yui Hirasawa and Sailor Moon, Flay is Nico Yazawa or Sailor Uranus...
Great(like as Dearka)! I am looking for it from now.
Next I do hope, the first Gundam(0079) and Zeta Gundam will be redubbed.
Those two titles dubbed version, acting level is too awkward!
