Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it has licensed the television anime of Nami Sano's Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto (Sakamoto desu ga?) manga. The company will release the series digitally and on home video.

The series will premiere on the TBS channel in Japan on April 8.

    Sentai Filmworks describes the story:
Just who is Sakamoto? He's enigmatic. He's clever. He's dashing. No challenge is too great and no cause is too small for Sakamoto. Girls love him, guys hate him for it, and despite efforts to humiliate him, Sakamoto is flawlessly able to emerge from the fray, even cooler than ever. Who knows what Sakamoto is going to do next? Whatever it is, it will be fabulous!

Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, School Rumble) is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. Atsuko Nakajima (You're Under Arrest, Ranma ½, Hakuōki) is designing the characters for animation. Yasuhiko Fukuda (Kocchi Muite Miko, Doamaiger D, Kurayami Santa) is composing the music. Masatoshi Muto (Tokyo Ghoul, Riddle Story of Devil) will serve as art director.

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto is Sano's debut series. Sano launched the series in Kadokawa's harta manga magazine in 2011, and ended the series in December. Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the manga in North America, and the company released the third volume on March 8.

The manga won the best "male-oriented" comics volume award from Da Vinci magazine and the Comic Natalie Grand Prize in 2013.
