    Even though he's winning I still feel like mentioning a bit about Iroh since no one else is really saying anything about his qualifications.

    Iroh pretty much made Zuko who he is. he trained him in fire bending
    which allowed him to defeat Azula who was considered a prodigy
    and he provided him with guidance of every kind throughout the series. and because we know he became a great, wise old ruler in Korra we know how he turned out in the end. One of the signs of a great teacher is great students especially when that student started out stubborn. So Zuko himself is the proof of Iroh's greatness as a Sensei. he guided the troubled, stubborn youth who could barely beat that general guy and could only think about his "honor" to becoming a great man who helped the avatar save the world.

    I'm just spoilering this on the off chance anyone here has NOT seen avatar yet.

    @Metazoxan I can see why you'd say that but actually not for this time, for this round I purposely didn't vote because I know neither character. I need convincing because for now the only thing I have to go by is what my bracket says.
    So with that being said convince me people because I had to search both of these character to even know what they look like.

    Well I can't say anything about Yu Narukami because I have not played that game and he's just a student and a main character. How is he even a Sensei?

    Genkai on the other hand guides the MC throughout most of the series. She trains him several times to fight several strong foes and imparts wisdom onto him.
    She also gives her life for him by choosing to face Taguro even though she couldn't win so that he wouldn't come after Yuskei before he was ready

    So someone will have to explain why that guy is even here because while he is the leader, being the MC and all, I don't get how he is a sensei in any way.

    Yu is on here because Yu is ownage incarnate. Okay, real talk, he's on here because he goes beyond the role of "just the main character" and acts like a leader towards the other characters. He helps his friends sort out their personal issues (not an easy task, it involves fighting giant monsters), he's always the one who keeps a cool head in the worst situations and one of the characters even directly refers to him as "sensei." He's Yu Narukami, the shadow-slaying, king's-game-playing, monster-killing, dream-fulfilling, Social-Link-leveling, huge-Persona-summoning protagonist that other anime and video game protagonists wish they could be. Accept no substitutes.
