Ricky Gervais and Eric Bana are faking radio in the Special Correspondents trailer
While Ricky Gervais is bringing David Brent back to screens with Life On The Road later this year, it's not his only planned film for 2016. He's worked on Special Correspondents for Netflix, and the trailer is now online.

A remake of 2009 French film Envoyés Très Spéciaux, Gervais’ latest finds him as Albert Finch, the sidekick to Eric Bana’s struggling radio journalist, Frank Bonneville. With the latter’s career on the skids, the pair take artistic license to the extreme by using a South American uprising to their vocational advantage whilst remaining safely in New York. And specifically, pretending to report from the front line when actually hiding above a Spanish restaurant in Queens…

Naturally, they can't keep the ruse up for too long, and eventually end up having to head to Ecuador themselves. Which won't be an easy prospect, given the very real chance of death.

Vera Farmiga, Benjamin Bratt, Kelly Macdonald, America Ferrera and Looking’s Raúl Castillo are also onboard for the chaos, and Special Correspondents will hit Netflix on April 29.
