Red Band Trailer For Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse
Is there a merit badge for slaying the undead?

Horror comedy Scout’s Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse had a relatively small presence at Comic-Con this year, but is ramping things up ahead of its release in a couple of months. The first UK trailer – a Red Band effort full of blood, bullets, swearing and nudity – is now online.

The movie – which seems to want to bottle a similar blend of silly and terrifying brought to the screen so magnificently by Shaun Of The Dead – finds three scouts, lifelong friends, who are trying to attend the party marked as the social event of the year. But instead of having fun, they must team up with a tough cocktail waitress to try and save their town from a zombie invasion. Can these unlikely heroes make it through the undead apocalypse? They’ll need all their scouting skills, but we’re sure success would lead to the best badge ever created.

Aiming at a largely low-fi approach to the effects to give it that extra kick of nostalgia (with a few digital tricks added in for good measure), the film features Tye Sheridan in the cast alongside Logan Miller, Halston Sage, Sarah Dumont, Patrick Schwarzenegger and David Koechner, with regularParanormal Activity contributor Christopher Landon on writing and directing duty here.

Scout’s Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse hits US screens on October 30 before making its way here on November 6.
