Ps4 Sells 70.6 Million Consoles Worldwide, Ps Vr Sells 2 Million

Sony announced on Thursday that it has sold more than an estimated 70.6 million PlayStation 4 consoles worldwide as of December 3. In addition, it estimates that it has sold more than 617.8 million copies of PlayStation 4 games at retail stores and via digital downloads as of the same day.

The PlayStation VR has likewise sold more than 2 million units worldwide as of December 3. The 150 titles that Sony has released for PS VR have sold more than 12.2 million copies at retail stores and via digital downloads as of December 3.

The PlayStation 4 console first launched in the U.S. and Canada in November 2013 and in Japan in February 2014. As of September 30 it had sold an estimated 67.5 million units. Sony estimated at the time that it will have sold 19 million units by the end of this fiscal year ending on March 31, 2018.



The PS VR shipped on October 13, 2016, and had sold 1 million units worldwide by June 2017.
