Nis America To Release The Princess Guide, Caligula: Overdose In 2019

    NIS America announced during Anime Expo on Thursday that it will release its The Princess Guide (Anata no Shikihime Kyōdōtan), Furyu Corporation's The Caligula Effect: Overdose (Caligula Overdose), and Kadokawa's RPG Maker MV, all for the PlayStation 4 and Switch. The Caligula Effect: Overdose will also launch for the PC via Steam, and RPG Maker MV will also launch on Xbox One.



    NIS America will release The Princess Guide in 2019.

    In a land torn by chaos and war, a new evil rises. Now, four princesses from four different kingdoms must learn how to lead their people to victory. Commence the Princess Knight training regimen! As an experienced knight, you will choose a princess to become your apprentice. Teach her the art of war, and push back the evil that threatens to take over the land! With your choices directly impacting the way your Princess Knight fights, The Princess Guide gives military training a whole new meaning!

    Nippon Ichi Software launched The Princess Guide game in Japan for the PS4, PlayStation Vita, and Switch on March 3.


    NIS America will release The Caligula Effect: Overdose in 2019.



    NIS America describes the game:

    Mobius. An idyllic world that exists for the sake of letting people forget about the pain and problems of reality. In this world created by a sentient vocaloid program, μ (Mu), reality and fantasy has become blurred, allowing people to relive their high school years in bliss. Yet in this seemingly beautiful and perfect world, something is amiss. Escape from this false paradise with your fellow students and return to reality in The Caligula Effect: Overdose!

    The game is a remake of FuRyu's The Caligula Effect PlayStation Vita game that uses Unreal Engine 4, and features enhanced graphics for event scenes, as well as a redesigned battle system and user interface.

    The game shipped in Japan for the PS4 on May 17.

    The original game shipped in Japan for the PS Vita in June 2016. Atlus USA launched in North America and Europe in May 2017. The release was digital only in the West.

    The original game inspired a 12-episode television anime adaptation that premiered on April 8. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.


    NIS America will release RPG Maker MV in 2019.

    Kadokawa released the game on the PC via Steam in English in October 2015, and later released it for PC in Japan in December 2015.

    NIS America will also release the RPG Maker MV Player app as a free download at launch. The app allows players to play games that other players created.

    NIS America also debuted two new trailers for the previously announced Disgaea 1 Complete (Makai Senki Disgaea Refine) and Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk video game titles. Disgaea 1 Complete is the the HD remake of the first game in the Disgaea series and is slated for release in North America and Europe on October 9 and October 14, respectively, for the PlayStation 4 and Switch consoles.



    The game will have standard physical editions and limited editions on both platforms. The limited edition includes a collector's box, certificate of authenticity, official soundtrack, hardcover art book, enamel pin set, coaster set, Etna mouse pad, Prinny plush cube, and two posters.

    The game will ship in Japan on July 26. This year marks the original game's 15th anniversary; the original game shipped for PlayStation 2 in Japan in 2003.

    NIS America will release Nippon Ichi Software's Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam) on September 18 in North America, and September 21 in Europe.



    NISA's release will feature English and French text and English and Japanese audio.

    Nippon Ichi Software released the game in Japan under the title Refrain no Chika Meikyū to Majo no Ryodan on the PlayStation Vita in June 2016, and then on the PS4 in September 2017.
