New short teaser for Sherlock's The Abominable Bride
We are now just a few short weeks away from the Beeb’s latest offering to patient Sherlock fans – the new seasonal special. Just in case anyone needed a reminder, a new brief teaser for The Abominable Bride is online, with fresh footage that isn’t too spoilery, but you might want to skip if you’re happy to wait for the whole shebang.

This latest episode, written by show co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, works as a stand-alone set in Holmes' more usual Victorian times (so don’t expect Andrew Scott’s Moriarty to pop up and ask us again if we’ve missed him, unless they go even more meta than this show sometimes dares), and plunges our heroes into a seemingly supernatural case that requires their skills to be at full power.

Joining them, as per usual, are Una Stubbs’ Mrs. Hudson and Amanda Abbington’s Mary Morstan, AKA Mrs. Watson, while the cast also features fellow regulars Rupert Graves, Louise Brealey and Jonathan Aris.

The special will air on the BBC and PBS on January 1, after which broadcast we go back into waiting mode for the next series, not due until 2017. Stupid busy cast schedules…
