New One Shot Week #2

    So here is the new One shot Week.

    We'll spend up to a week nominating and a week voting. Then the next week we'll read and discuss. Also just to be clear a one shot does not have to be only one chapter but it can't be more than about 8 to 10 or it's a series at that point.

    When nominating be sure to provide a link to the manga along with it's name. We'll start voting immediately when there are 5 nominations. So if you see 5 you are free to start voting or you can wait for an official start to the voting.

    Oh so the next round is active now huh. Cool, only I don't have any suggestions this time either.
    What are your current thoughts @Metazoxan? Which one in particular would you nominate?

    I would still apprecaite if members would actually make nominations themselves So that I don't have to make more than one Nomination myself. Some sites like Mangahere has a One Shot catagory so just search for something good with that. Although I noticed they often include doujinshi in the mix (especially Yaoi for some strange reason) so make sure any nomination if actually a one shot story and not just a fan fic or something.


    Also if you like my previous nominations so much you could always just select one of those for yourself to nominate.

    Okay I tried giving it an extra week but still nothing. Should I try messaging everyone again or just fill in the rest myself and move on?

    Well even though they are one shots the previous attempts at this idea wasn't too successful either, having two participants besides yourself was how active the Ability Shop one was essentially so I'd go with what you have since it has been a week. Your choice Meta, I'm just in this for the promise of one shots.

    I know you won't want to hear this but there really isn't any thing else we could do. One chapter to read and discuss is too much to do over the course of two weeks. The horror. I'm feeling faint at the idea of having a grand total of 30 pages to read....
    My club is one ep a week and still not many takers there posting. We've got some of the easiest club activities and yet participation is way down. It really feels like there is nothing possible to do for more activity.

    Meh.. I know I won't have a massive group. not on this forum. But I would still like to try to get more than 2 people to genuinely participate. Just that much at least makes discussion possible.

    I know what you mean, a little response is all that is asked for and nope it just won't happen. You imagine that one shots should be a fairly easy area to have some participation. I might try to think up some other possible ideas but as of right now I've got absolutely nothing.

    At the very least doing these events keeps the club alive and not shut down so despite poor activity I still need to do these once in a while.

    While this is a sad fact what I take away from it is at least my original idea has helped the club out a bit. One shots to the rescue.
