I thought with the big news out now in regards to a new Death Note, I thought it would be interesting to see what people will think on how the series will work out... since there isn't that much information regarding it...
In other words, how do you think the story, plot, ending, ECT will go?

I don't really care, usually live action adaptations suck which is the reason I don't watch any of them. I've heard there can be good romance/drama adaptations but please like I'd watch those. I was also told that the Hell Girl series was a waste of time so I stayed away form that too.

Back to Death Note specifically, I've watched the first three hat came out years ago and I thought they were okay.
I also know that there was a Death Note series that began last year that was horrible, I watched 30 second of the first ep before stopping. Light was a fan of the idol Misa and went to one of her concerts, then blew off work have a drink with some other idol fans..... Yeah it wasn't exactly the best start.

So since adaptations aren't usually too impressive my opinion is already low even before it airs, honestly I doubt I'd check out this one. The indiscriminate female killer sounds like an interesting angle though I will admit that.

I've been trying to get my hands on the live action series to Hell Girl for ages. Can't seem to find them anywhere to download them though. I think Death Note live actions... well, what I call the originals were amazing. the new ones (2015) wasn't great as I thought they ruin a few characters but they do beat a lot of live actions out there. (I'm sorry for those who do like them.)

Live actions? 2006-8 or the 2015 version?

Have any of these Death Note live action films been successful? The story with real characters doesn't seem as believable to be honest. But, then again it is a fantasy thriller story.

Hey, comic book movies have a great deal of success. I guess anime writers and producers are hoping for the same.

There's plenty as of the moment.

    there's three originals (2006-8-

Then there's the 2015 drama series

And the new ones (late 2016)

Than I heard America is making their own as well.

I thought the originals were good.... Still needs twigging of special effects here and there. If you ain't much Into live actions though, you may be a bit 'icky' with it though. I would suggest watching the original version first before the drama series as I felt the 2015 ruined it a bit.

@Kaede I seem to remember hearing the story for one of the Live Action, Death Note films. And I remember thinking it was really silly (this was before I saw the anime). But, also I have seen the first Attack on Titan live action film. And they changed way too much in it for my liking.

Attack on Titans live action I will pretty much agree with anyone in regards to "that was... *coughs* ... Different."
But it is a shame if you thought the storyline was silly to Death Note.oh well, it's not for everyone. :)
