NEW Final Fantasy XV Trailer

So I just saw the new trailer for Final Fantasy XV (footage not final, as they are still working on the game). It looks pretty epic!! The battle system looks like it will be better than 12 and 13, which I really didn't like. (Well, I didn't mind 13 so much, I just hated the battle system in 12). So yeah, it looks pretty awesome

 

The game looks nothing like the Final Fantasy games I used to know. That might be a good thing.

Oh yeah I want that car. In fact I want that car to be my main use of transportation. Move over Chocobos, this thing has a 500 Chocobo power engine.

 

So the battle is switching to real time instead of turn based? Cool.

 

Hopefully it won't be too confusing like Skyrim.

Maybe you can get across the world map quicker? If it were me, I would travel by airship!!

 

No I want the car. Okay how about we compromise and have the airship be equipped with a car hanger that we can drive into and take off

 

So after reading more on the game it looks like they want to go with a "guy road trip" angle. If the game was a comedy this could be hilarious but for a Final Fantasy game that takes itself seriously...

I don't know. Sounds like X-2.

 

At least they are trying something new.

 

For me this looks slightly better than X-2. No Final Fantasy game could be worse than that one, no matter how bad the controls get. Unless they make this one complete fan-service as well with little to no plot. Pretty sure the story revolves around a Prince who gets Stockholm syndrome after being kidnapped. Either that or the subtitles have been taken out of context in the trailer for XV.

 

The game is still in development. Here Final Fantasy show off 10 minutes of a walkthrough. (Literally just the characters running around for 10 minutes). Showing off the graphics, terrain, lighting and camera angles...

 

They need to go biking
