Lupin Iii's Fujiko Supports Bras In Lingerie Brand Collaboration

Targeting women envious of Fujiko Mine's bust, lingerie maker Wacoal is teaming up with Lupin III to sell the latest frilly underwear. Wacoal's Amphi brand is offering new Glamarichi Bras with the help of Fujiko herself.





The new Glamarichi Bras are available in two types in a variety of colors. Both versions feature three kinds of "power cushions" in a five-panel structure to give wearers' chests an extra boost. The bras cost 4,200 yen (about US$40) each, and matching panties and camisoles are available.

In conjunction with the release, Amphi's official website is hosting a "Lupin III Boyfriend Quiz." The short quiz determines whether Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, or Zenigata is the taker's best match as a boyfriend. A Twitter campaign will chose 30 people who tweet their results to receive a Glamarichi Bra. In addition, everyone who takes the quiz receives a free smartphone wallpaper.



A life-size statue of Fujiko wearing the campaign's underwear will appear at two stores in Tokyo during the promotion. The statue will appear at the A day Wacoal The Store Marunouchi shop from March 9-22 and at the Amphi Shibuya Mark City shop from March 29 to April 25.



The Lupin III franchise is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and the Lupin the Third: Part 5 television anime will premiere on April 3.

Wacoal previously collaborated with the romance sleep simulation game KareMin: Watashi ga Kare to Nyūmin Suru Wake, Blood: The Last vampire character designer Katsuya Terada, and Akiko Higashimura's Tokyo Tarareba Musume manga. In addition, Mr. Osomatsu, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Ojamajo Doremi, and Sailor Moon are a few of the many anime and manga to have already inspired undergarments.
