Little Witch Academia Manga Ends in Ultra Jump

"Short intensive" manga began in August
This year's December issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazinepublished the final chapter of Terio Teri's Little Witch Academia manga on Thursday.

Teri first published a Little Witch Academia one-shot manga in the magazine in 2013, and began the "short intensive" manga series in August 2015. The manga has an original story.Shogakukan noted that the one compiled volume will ship on January 19.

Another manga series, Little Witch Academia: Tsukiyo no Ōkan(Crown of Midnight) by Yuka Fujiwara, has been running inShueisha's Ribon shojo magazine since September.

Studio Trigger produced Little Witch Academia under theAnime Mirai program in 2013. The sequel, Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade, was funded through aKickstarter campaign that surpassed its main goal of US$150,000 in five hours. The campaign ended one month later in August 2013 and accumulated US$625,518 (about 74 million yen) from 7,938 backers toreach its stretch goals. The film premiered at Anime Expo in July.

The anime's story follows Akko Kagari (Megumi Han), who begins magic school at the Little Witch Academia. While studying there, she hopes of becoming just like her idol, a magician named Shiny Chariot.
