Kodansha Comics announced at its Anime Expo panel on Saturday that it will release Kazuto Tatsuta's Ichi-F: A Worker's Graphic Memoir of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant (ICHIEFU: Fukushima Daiichi Genshiryoku Hatsudensho Rōdōki) and Soul Eater creator Atsushi Ohkubo's Fire Force (En En no Shōbōtai) manga. Kodansha will also release Attack on Titan Adventure, "an interactive fiction and puzzle book" based on the Attack on Titan franchise.

The publisher will release the three-volume Ichi-F: A Worker's Graphic Memoir of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant series in a single omnibus version on March 7, 2017. March 11, 2017 will mark the sixth anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Tohoku. The "Ichi-F" or "1F" in the title stands for the numerical designation for the Fukushima plant.

    Kodansha describes the story:
A worker assigned to the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant (designated "1-F") in the aftermath of the 2011 tsunami wrote and drew this memoir, depicting his part in the dangerous and unprecedented cleanup effort. This frank depiction is a unique, firsthand look inside the consequences and long road back from the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl.

Amazon began listing an English version of the series this month. The manga's official Facebook page posted an excerpt of the manga's first chapter in English in 2014.

Tatsuta published a one-shot version of the manga as his entry in the 2013 “34th Manga Open,” a competition that Kodansha's Morning magazine organized to find new talent. After winning the grand prize, the one-shot was published in Morning magazine, which received wide public attention. Tatsuta launched a serialized series in Morning in November 2013, and ended it last September. Kodansha published the manga's third and final volume in Japan last October.

Kodansha will begin releasing the Fire Force manga in North America this fall.

    The company describes the story:
Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment's notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?

Ohkubo launched the series in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2015. Kodansha released the third compiled book volume in Japan on June 17, and the fourth book is slated to ship on August 17.
