The official website of Studio Trigger's Kiznaiver television anime series began streaming two new videos for the anime on Saturday (Note: the videos on the official website are region-locked to Japan).

The first is a promotional video for the anime, which previews the anime's opening theme song "LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME" by Boom Boom Satellites, and the ending theme song "Hajimari no Sokudo" by Sangatsu no Phantasia.

Noriko: How much do you people know about our hometown, Sugomori City? It takes 50 minutes to travel to Hanebashi by car, if you're coming from the city center.
    Text: Connected to Hanebashi.
Noriko: A commuter town built on reclaimed land, with a model city environment.
    Text: A futuristic model city.
Noriko: But the truth of the city isn't in that description.
    Text: That truth is...
Noriko: In truth, this city was constructed for a grand experiment. An experimental city.
    Text: Experimental city.
Noriko: And that experiment is called... The Kizuna System.
    Text: Stupidity
    Katsuhira: I don't understand myself.
    Text: Self-righteous and annoying
Chidori: Lately you've been carrying around a lot of darkness inside, Kacchan.
    Text: Hot-blooded dumbass
Hajime: I've heard the whole story.
    Girls: Yuta-kun!
    Text: A cunning real-lifer.
    Tsuguhito: Yes, I'm Yuta-kun.
    Text: A condescending chosen person.
Honoka: I don't deal well with illogical things like this.
    Text: A mystery maniac.
Nico: It's an altar to call the fairies!
    Text: Immoral
Yoshiharu: Why are you chasing after me?
    Noriko: Everything has limits.
    Text: What they shoulder...
    Noriko: That said...
    Text: Are today's...
    Text: Seven deadly sins.
Noriko: If they don't go beyond their limits, they won't reach anything.
Katsuhira: Lately, I've been starting to remember. "Bring me back the pain," it said.
Hajime: Come on, let's do it!
    Chidori: Tenga-kun?!
Tsuguhito: I'm sorry, but could you please calm yourself down?
Yoshiharu: I think... I've found it.
    Text: The bonds of wounds.
Noriko: Alongside comrades who are bound by wounds...
    Text: Forcefully connected.
Noriko: ...you will face down countless obstacles.
    Text: Seven boys and girls.
Text: A youth story that breaks common sense..
Noriko: Yes. From now on, all of you are...
    Text: Now begins.
    Noriko: Kiznaivers.
    Text: Kiznaiver. Premieres April 9.
    Katsuhira: Mizudana?

The second video is the fourth and latest in a series of character introduction videos. The video introduces Katsuhira and Noriko.

Katsuhira: Lately, I've been starting to remember.
    Text: Katsuhira Agata
    Noriko: Good for you, Katsuhira.
    Text: Noriko Sonozaki
Katsuhira: It's just a guess, but...
Noriko: One for all, all for one.
    Katsuhira: Mizudana?
    Text: The bonds of wounds.
    Noriko: Kiznaiver. Premieres this April.

The previous character ads featured Chidori Takashiro, Honoka Maki, Hajime Tenga, Tsuguhito Yuta, Nico Niyama, and Yoshiharu Hisomu.

The website also began streaming a commercial on March 22 for a pre-broadcast special for the anime that will air on April 2. The special will feature the cast talking about the show and playing games.

The series will premiere on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 on April 9 at 11:30 p.m. The series will also air on TV Aichi and ABC Asahi Broadcasting, and it will also stream on Niconicoon Sundays at 10 p.m. Crunchyroll will stream the anime series starting on April 9 at 11:30 a.m. EDT. The first two episodes premiered at Sakura-Con on Sunday. The event screened the first two episodes, and then live streamed the early screening event in Japan, which featured the voice actors Yuuki Kaji and Hibiku Yamamura.

Crunchyroll is also publishing Roji Karegishi's manga tie-in to the anime. Chapter #0 launched worldwide last Friday. Dengeki Maoh magazine is publishing the manga simultaneously in Japan.

The anime's setting is a fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City, which is built on reclaimed land. But as the years go by, the city's population is decreasing. One day, Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira: "You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver." The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers.

The keyword for the series is "kizuna" (connection). The title itself is a play on "kizuna" and "naive."

    The anime's cast includes:
Yuuki Kaji (Attack on Titan's Eren Jaeger) as Katsuhira Agata
Hibiku Yamamura (Seraph of the End's Asuramaru) as Noriko Sonozaki
Yuka Terasaki (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans' Kudelia) as Chidori Takashiro
Tomoaki Maeno (Yowamushi Pedal's Juichi Fukutomi) as Hajime Tenga
Misaki Kuno (Durarara!!×2's Akane Awakusu) as Nico Niyama
Nobunaga Shimazaki (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club's Haruka Nanase) as Tsuguhito Yuta
Rina Satou (Sailor Moon Crystal's Sailor Mars) as Honoka Maki
Kōtarō Nishiyama (Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!'s Atsushi Kinugawa) as Yoshiharu Hisomu
