Famitsu began streaming an extended gameplay video on Friday for Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts III game, after Square Enix had invited several press outlets to California to demo the game on Thursday.

Press outlets were able to play snippets from the "Olympus" world from Hercules and the "ToyBox" world from Toy Story. Keyblades featured in the demo included "Infinity Badge" from the Toy Story world, "Smile Gear" from the Monsters, Inc. world, and "Ever After" from the Tangled world.

The video previews several of the "Attractions" attacks such as "Big Magic Mountain," and also reveals Wreck-It Ralph from the Wreck-It Ralph film as a summon. The above video also previews the Shotlock feature from previous games in the franchise.

Other news outlets that posted video footage from the press event include:
The US PlayStation Blog also stated that while the game doesn't yet have a locked-in release date, game director Tetsuya Nomura said during the event that Square Enix will reveal more information about the release date next month. Nomura also told the Famitsu website that Square Enix will reveal that game's release date early next month.

Square Enix previously announced that Kingdom Hearts III is slated for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles this year. American retailer Target briefly listed a November 1 release date for pre-orders of the game. The page no longer lists the pre-order ship date, and now lists a December 31 general release date for the game.

Square Enix first announced Kingdom Hearts III in 2013. Other confirmed worlds inlude Big Hero 6. Hikaru Utada returns to perform the game's theme song "Don't Think Twice" (the song in Japanese is titled "Chikai" or "Oath").
