The digital publishing company J-Novel Club announced on Saturday that it has licensed Ichiro Sakaki's Bluesteel Blasphemer light novel series. The first 40 pages of the first volume of the series are now available on J-Novel Club's website, with half of the first volume available for members. J-Novel Club plans to publish new installments weekly, and also plans to release the first volume as an e-book on May 13.

    The company describes the series:
Yukinari Amano loves guns. After reincarnating into another world, the young man goes on a journey with Dasa, the younger sister of the girl who gave him a second life. However, while on the road, the pair are attacked by a local deity—an "erdgod." No normal person could possibly defeat one—so when Yukinari uses his knowledge of guns and newfound abilities to do the impossible, he becomes worshipped as the area's new god himself! Get ready for an alternate-reality, gun-and-sword-filled, action-packed adventure!

Sakaki launched the Bluesteel Blasphemer novel series with the first volume in May 2015, with illustrations by Tera Akai. Hobby Japan published the fourth volume last April.

Sakaki has written such light novel series as Scrapped Princess, The Magician's Academy, Strait Jacket, Shinkyoku Sōkai Polyphonica, Outbreak Company, and Chaika the Coffin Princess, most of which have inspired anime or manga adaptations. He has also written for the CODE-E and ClassicaLoid anime. Toshinori Sogabe (Ah My Buddha) launched a new manga based on Scrapped Princess on Kadokawa's Comic Clear website last October.

J-Novel Club launched in October of last year, and is publishing titles from Hobby Japan and OVERLAP. Membership to the service costs US$4.95 a month or US$54 a year, and gives subscribers access to a new chapter a week for all its series. Subscribers also get access to a member-only forum. Premium Membership gives subscribers a free finalized e-book each month in addition to the benefits of the regular membership, and costs US$10.95 each month or US$120 for a year. Seven Seas Entertainment plans to release some of its titles in print, starting with Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash and Occultic;Nine.
