Inti Creates Reveals Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger Ix Game For Switch

Inti Creates announced at the BitSummit 2018 event in Kyoto on Saturday that it is developing Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX (Shiroki Kōtetsu no X: The Out of Gunvolt), the latest game in its Azure Striker Gunvolt series of games. Inti Creates will release the game on Nintendo Switch.



The game will tell a side story starring the game series' "anti-hero" Copen. Inti Creates will reveal more details about the game this summer.

Inti Creates developed the first Azure Striker Gunvolt game with concepts by Keiji Inafune of Mega Man/Rockman fame, and released the game in Japan and North America in August 2014.

The company released Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 in August 2016 in Japan and in October 2016 in North America. The company also released the Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack that features both games at the same time as the standalone Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 release. Inti Creates then released Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack for the Nintendo Switch on August 31.

Inti Creates released Azure Striker Gunvolt ONA, an anime adaptation of the first game, via the Nintendo 3DS eShop in February 2017.
