I'm retiring

As I'm sure you can read from the title, I'm retiring from my position as Server Admin for JAN, effective the end of this month. This was by far one of the most difficult decisions I've made, and it does not come lightly. I love working for the site and contributing is a way that's not only fun, but perfectly aligns with my talents. The reality is, however, that I can no longer do so for a multitude of reasons. I'm not going to go into detail here as to how I came about my decision or why, but do know it took me several months to decide, informing Spor earlier this month.

Does this mean I leaving the site; not at all. I'll still be around and now that it's no longer Black Friday week/mid-terms, you all should see me posting a bit more. I'll also still be helping with who ever eventually takes the position if ask, as well as be around in case of an emergency. Think of this as more me handing my position over to someone yet to be decided.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This is such a loving community, and looking at the Thankful thread and how many people thanked not just the staff, but myself personally, just goes to show how awesome you all are.

 

You gotta do what's best for you. I'd like to thank you for all you've done.

I never got the chance to talk to you, but I will miss seeing your name on the staff list.

 

for us members who have been here long enough, we know all the hard work you you put through just to give quality service to everyone. we witnessed the ups and downs and end the end you pushed through worthy for the title as server admin.

I second that. Although, since she's not leaving the site, just stepping down into something less formal, it's not going to be that bad.

On the MyBB community forum, they had a kind of "retired" title. Think maybe she can keep a basic perk? Perhaps make the perk exclusive for retired staff?

Kiri can be the first guinea pig... I mean, retired staff member, for Crazy to do perk experiments... er, I mean new ideas on. lol Maybe she can keep her username color, but not the background color? Just tossing some ideas out there.

Thanks for all the hard work you've put in I personally always enjoyed dealing with you when there was issues and yes also when there was no issues! your much nicer than @Sporadic !!!
