The July issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine published the final chapter of Takeshi Moriki's Saenai Kanojo no Sodate-kata: Girls Side spinoff manga on June 9. The manga's second and final compiled book volume is slated for July 7.

The manga adapts the How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (Saenai Kanojo no Sodate-kata) spinoff stories of the same name by the original series' author Fumiaki Maruto and illustrator Kurehito Misaki. The spinoff tells events from the main story from the female characters' points of view. The first Girls Side book shipped in February 2015, a second book shipped in March 2015, and a third book shipped on Tuesday.Kadokawa published the manga adaptation's first compiled book volume (seen right) on April 8.

Moriki launched the manga last September, just one month after ending the manga adaptation of the main novels in Monthly Dragon Age. Moriki launched the original manga in 2013. Yen Press published the fifth volume of Moriki's original manga in English on March 21, and will ship the sixth volume on Tuesday.

The 12th volume of Maruto and Misaki's original novel series revealed on March 18 that the series will end in its 13th volume.

The novels inspired an anime adaptation that premiered in January 2015 in Japan on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block, and a second series premiered on the same block on April 13. Aniplex of America licensed the first series under the title Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, and streamed it on Aniplex Channel, Crunchyroll, and Hulu as it aired. A PlayStation Vita game based off of the anime shipped in Japan in April 2015. Aniplex of America is currently streaming the second series under the title Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Flat on Amazon's Anime Strike channel.

The novels also inspired two other manga series titled Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata ~egoistic-lily~ and Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata: Koi-suru Metronome. The former ended in 2014, while the latter is ongoing, with the seventh volume released in Japan on March 18.
