How do I post an image in the thread?

I have been trying to post images in threads recently using the bbcoding, and none of them seem to show up. So I am going to do a series of trial tests to see if I can work out what it is I have done wrong.

Plus, a tip with Images, and a friendly gesture towards other readers. Use the spoiler bbcode to hide images so that threads don't get overfilled with them
It is a pain loading into a thread with a number of huge images I really don't want to see, or keep up (The threads will get quite lenghty).

So when submitting an img, use the following code, but replace the { and } with [ and ]
(I'm using the other so the code doesn't work)

{spoiler}{img}IMAGE URL HERE{/img}{/spoiler}
