Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gets Complete PS3/PSV Port

    The November 20th issue of Kadokawa's Famitsu magazine is announcing on Thursday that developer Kaga Create will release the game Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sui (When They Cry -The Best-) for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

    The game is a complete port that contains all past scenarios that were included in previous versions of the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni game. The new version will also have new features, and will be full-voiced.

    Original creator Ryūkishi07 and his dojin circle 07th Expansion released a new installment in the series titled Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hō in August.

    07th Expansion's original Higurashi no Naku Koro ni visual novel software revolved around murders that coincide with an annual festival in a quiet rural village. The software inspired two television anime series, several video anime projects, two live-action films, and manga adaptations by several artists.

    And what would I get if I did @Sir-Maddy?

    This sounds interesting, I checked out the game before with google and those old characters designs still scare me. I'd hope that a new release for it means updated visuals, or at least updated character appearances.
    And the reason to have got other consoles keep growing, missing out on Higurashi is a large price to pay.

    There's a patch for the PC release that gives it the PS2 sprites. I highly doubt this will get a state side release which makes me a bit sad.

    Would have been better if they made another anime series. But, then again I think Kai sort of stretched it a bit too much. There is only so many times they can relive the same month before it becomes too repetitive...

    I'm actually quite glad it's gonna be voiced.
    Thinking about it now there are some good Game Only Arcs that would sound really good voiced.
