Part of our 100th film celebration at TMC.
Something in Okinawa reeks, and it isn't long before Kaori and her friends realize that the smell is coming from dead fish, which are walking out of the sea. The fish are fused to metal legs and are infected with a disease contractable by humans that was invented as a weapon by unknown sources. After what happens to Tadashi, Kaori finds herself in a new world very much like the old one but with the stench of death.

Well I have FINALLY watched this movie and well, it lived up to my expectations of being disappointing if that makes any sense.
I knew this was going to be a bad B grade horror movie at best but it was really just average. I'm kind of disappointed since I'm slightly familiar with Junji Ito's key themes so I expected much more for a shock factor. Guess they can't do everything he'd do for an adaptation, and a poor one at that judging from the comments about how much was changed.
I really wanted to like it but kind of hard to do when it offers no reason to like it, so I rated this a 5/10 simply because I didn't feel bored while watching so it didn't quite deserve a 4.
