Gundam EXA VS Manga Approaching It's End

The June issue of Kadokawa's Gundam Ace magazine revealed on April 26 that Tomohiro Chiba and Koichi Tokita's Gundam EXA VS has only two chapters left. If there are no delays, the manga will end in the magazine's August issue in June.

The magazine also announced that the Mobile Suit Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans Gekkō spinoff manga by writer Hajime Kamoshida and artists Dango and Hirosuke Terama will get a second season. The issue published a prologue chapter.

In addition, the magazine announced details on the upcoming manga based on the Kidō Senshi Gundam Gaiden - Colony no Ochita Chi deSega Dreamcast game. The manga will launch in the magazine on May 26, with two chapters in two issues as an "episode 0." The manga's full title is Kidō Senshi Gundam Gaiden GROUND ZERO - Colony no Ochita Chi de - Rise From the Ashes, with Umetarō Saitani drawing the art, and Masahiko Tokushima supervising. Bandai Namco Entertainment is collaborating.

The Gundam EXA VS manga is a tie-in to the Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost arcade game, and centers on protagonists Leos Alloy and Sthesia Awar in a new story.

The manga launched in Gundam Ace in March 2014. Kadokawa published the manga's sixth compiled book volume (seen right) in December. Chiba and Tokita's earlier Gundam EXA manga, which similarly tied into the Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost arcade game, ran in Gundam Ace from May 2011 to February 2014.

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans Gekkō manga launched in Gundam Ace in April 2016. Kadokawa published the manga's second volume on March 25. The manga centers on Argie Mirage and Volco Warren, the allies and protectors of Rialina, the daughter and heir of a mob boss whose assassination triggered a power struggle on the moon. While they defend Rialina, they each have their own true goals: one seeks to find the Gundam that killed his family, while Warren seeks to assemble the Gundam his family left behind.

Kazuma Isobe's ongoing main Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans manga launched in Gundam Ace in October 2015 and began its second season in November 2016.​
