    People were complaining about low res avatars. Register here using the same email address you registered with on this forum.

    Upload your avatar to the gravatar.

    Now delete your DTR avatar. Your DTR account should automatically recognize the image on gravatar and load it on to the DTR forum. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Excuse the short post DTR still won't let me post over a certain amount of characters.

    GIF's don't work though since the site requires cropping which kills GIFs. Is there a way to get a GIF avatar on the site or will we just have to deal with normal avatars?

    We have to deal with it...:/ however I'm crazy for gifs so expect a way around it soon :D

    Read the updated TOS no animated avatars. animated gifs lag out browsers and ruin end user experience. The new rules state No animated avatars, we will not pursue this option. It also states that animated gif signatures must be 500x150 maximum and non animated signatures can be 500x250 maximum.

    Just wondering and I can understand the lag part but why was this not an issue back on the original JD site but now it's an issue here with having gifs for Avi's?

    I'm having the same issue as Nono - Gravatar avis are now very blurry for some reason.

    Hmm thought it was only the images i was using but seems not, does anyone know why the gravatar images are blurry now for at least a few of us?

    Could it possibly be because Gravatar is no longer needed? I simply am using the screen shot of Wien I took way back when Tari Tari was airing that I have saved to my computer. There is no real need to use another site to host the image when you could just upload one you already have saved and crop that, so just try that instead I think since mine seems to be fine with this method.
