Gog Adds Visual Novels From Sekai Project, Mangagamer

Publishers Sekai Project and MangaGamer announced on Tuesday that the GOG game platform has added several of their visual novels. The platform is now offering the Fault and Sunrider series from Sekai Project and eden* and the Higurashi: When They Cry series from MangaGamer.

MangaGamer also announced that it is working with GOG to add nine other titles, including Kindred Spirits On The Roof and A Kiss for the Petals ~Maidens of Michael~.

MangaGamer noted in its press release that it is pursuing additional retail outlets outside of Steam due to "recent threats from Valve," but that it had been speaking to GOG prior to these events.

Last week, several developers and publishers, including MangaGamer and Sekai Project, reported receiving notices from Valve, saying that their games had to remove adult content or they would be removed from the Steam platform. Within the next few days, the same companies reported receiving a follow-up saying they should disregard the previous notice, but that their game content is under review.
