Godzilla Battles King Ghidorah In Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Trailer
With Gareth Edwards’ 2014 Godzilla, audiences were left waiting for a considerable time before the monster smackdown in the closing reel. It was a deliberate and ballsy choice, and while the final fight really delivered in the closing act, it looks like the action and mayhem quotient is being amped up for 2019 sequel Godzilla: King Of The Monsters. This time, not only is the massive lizard on the prowl once again, but he’s not the only one – iconic beasties Mothra, Rodan and the three-headed King Ghidorah have all emerged to wreak havoc on Earth. See them all emerge in the brand new trailer.

There are epic shots galore here, including some particularly enticing moments of Godzilla and Ghidora going head to head-head-head. On ground-level is a top cast of humans too – including Stranger ThingsMillie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Charles Dance, Bradley Whitford, with Sally Hawkins and Ken Watanabe both returning. From Trick ‘r Treat and Krampus director Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is the latest in Warner Bros’ monster-verse, continuing from Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island.

The film beaming into cinemas like a blast of atomic breath on 31 May 2019, with Adam Wingard’s Godzilla Vs. Kong expected to follow in 2020.
