Gerard Butler's Mike Banning Is Back In The Angel Has Fallen Trailer
At this point, we know what to expect from an "Has Fallen" film, even if we're surprised that this OTT action franchise has made it to a third movie. But Gerard Butler's ever-harried Secret Service agent Mike Banning is facing yet another threat to his boss. See the trailer for Angel Has Fallen...

This time around, the boss in question is Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), who is the subject of an assassination attempt. Mike unwittingly becomes the prime suspect despite clearly having saved Trumbull's life.

Now, as one of the most wanted men in the country, Banning must evade his own people and track down who is truly responsible for trying to murder the Commander in Chief. And he'll need help from an unexpected, complicated ally – his own dad (Nick Nolte).

While we were initially told that the "Angel" in question would be Air Force One (visions of Freeman and Butler going all Harrison Ford danced in our heads), from the evidence of this, at least, the title more seems to refer to Banning's status as Trumbull's guardian angel. Still, the plane could show up in the final act.

Ric Roman Waugh directs this one, working from a script he developed with Robert Mark Kamen and Matt Cook. Angel Has Fallen lands in the UK on 23 August. If it's successful, it could lead to yet more movies. How long before we get Banning Has Fallen And He Can't Get Up?
